well, i was SUPPOSED to be there but had to cancel at the absolute last minute. i've been fighting some sort of being sick all week and apparently friday was the last straw.
tried to fight it more last night but by 10pm I couldn't move and virtually passed out just after I gave Shumon & Ramz a call.
normally i don't cancel gigs like this but i'm bed ridden. hopefully i'll be alright for tomorrow.

I did my best to hold down the fort in the absence of the great 2rip and, apparently, even managed to "inspire" Shumon enough that he wanted to jump on the decks for a few tracks... Hopefully we can eek out a bit better attendance next month... :D
Apologies to anyone that I might have--I'm finding out today--sent unreadable text messages to, etc. I sent out a bunch of reminder messages at about 6PM on Saturday and discovered later that most of them didn't go out until 10PM or later. Some of those that did were garbled. Others go delivered to random/wrong people... Not sure what to make of that, but I'm guessing Cingular was having issues on Saturday with their SMS network...

oh, forgot to mention that I picked up a new "honorary" ethnicity/nationality on Saturday: Lebanese :woot:
I got one of those lovely garbled messages, but it was about 5 minutes before I fell into my bed and passed out for the next 13 hours. Sorry I couldn't make it out, but after being up for 36 of the previous 39 hours, it just wasn't happening.
On a side note - Chad, was that you passing me on 66 west on the way home from Buzz Saturday morning? If so, where the hell were you going?!?
