The flier is quite sexy. We will be picking them up from BWI in an hour or so, they hit the streets this weekend.

Are the photos "wacked-out" enough for ya, LG?

Oh, and make sure to save me a nice-sized stack.
Now that we're neighbors, I can swing by and grab them.

Can't wait to see them in print!

glad to see i've helped.

back to the flyer; what program do you use?

Well, all last year's flyers were done entirely in Adobe Illustrator.
However, since we're integrating more photography this year, this flyer required me to use both Illustrator as well as Photoshop.
The model was painstakenly silhouetted from the background in Photoshop.
I then manipulated the Levels to force heavy contrast.
Then, the original photo was brought into Illustrator, and used as a template so that I could trace the outlines of the naturally occuring shadows (her cast shadow as well as the headphone cord's).
These shadow outlines were brought back into Photoshop and softened and filled with a gradient to recreate the shadows from the original photo.
The pink "soundwaves" were all drawn in Illustrator (on top of the photo template, to get the placement right) and then brought into Photoshop to be colored and integrated into the photo.

A magician revealing his secrets. Penn and Teller would be proud. Though Teller wouldn't tell you.

Eh.
Secrets are one thing, but an artist's eye & style is another.
No amount of the former could ever replace the latter.
Someone can be taught to replicate the Mona Lisa, but it doesn't make it the Mona Lisa.

You need to check out Ursula as well. "Ursadelica" was a cd that you were meant to get from me. It's delicious. :yummy:

When would I be seeing you next? And any specific genres, or just a crazy stack like the last time?
