I am not sure why I am posting this, it just popped in my head. It is a poem I wrote to freak out my classmates in 7th grade. I wound up getting an A and weird looks from my english teacher for the rest of the year.
Come here lover
on the floor,
hurt me till
I scream for more.
Tie me down
your touch I need,
when its my turn
I'll make you bleed.
We'll go on
and play these games
of lies and tears
and hurt and pain.
Until your wounds
that swell inside
are cured by those
that I provide.

Jason, I apologize in advance for this as I understand a parent's struggle with teenagers, and the issues that come along with trying to properly raise good children to be good people.
Anyway...

I was just talking to my father. He is chaperoning my little brother at 6th grade camp. Which made me realize that my brother seems so much younger than I remember myself when I was 12. At 6th grade camp, I had my first kiss and lost my best friend of 9 years. It was a turning point for "drama" in my life.

In 6th grade we had a poetry unit and the only thing I remember is the lymeric I made. Here it is:
There once was a corpse from L.A.
That waited 3 weeks to decay
His body turned blue
Got kicked by a shoe
And what else do I have to say.
And who says that video games affect us?

wow. that's a damn good poem. crazy that you wrote that at 13 tho. :P
it does really freak out adults when young teens can articulate feelings like this better than they themselves can, especially considering that most adults don't feel that you should even be having these feelings yet!
just think, it wasn't until around the turn of the 20th century that young (like 13-15 yrs old) marriage was not happening anymore.
