What'd ya think it was over?? This week is week number 3 of a 5 week "Record Swap" series featuring some of the best talent the DC area has to offer.
What is a "Record Swap" event you ask?
Well, basically dj 'A' give his records to dj 'B' and vice versa; then armed with records that do not belong to them the djs man the decks and rock the place. Simple as that......We Hope :)
Starting things off we have a special treat....LEVENTE will be gracing the decks all the way from Seattle Washington dropping fresh house beats.
Then......
This week the swap happens like this:
Empath(Trance, Progressive) <---> Logo (DnB,House)
Grimm Reeper (DnB) <---> JP Gulden (House)
Do not miss this opportunity to catch your favorite djs challenge their skills and get funky with some one elses stash.
YOU CAN'T MISS THIS SHOW
Drop happens each and every Friday at the hottest spot in Dupont, Japone, serving up the best house, DnB, breaks, and funk in DC. With excellent food, a chill atmosphere, and killer music 7 nights a week Japone should be on everyones to do list every week.

I can't wait for this event! D'n'B eh? Should be fun, at least I had a good friend of mine in Korea teach me the basics of how to mix it. I will have NO IDEA what to play, but I think I should be able to play it fairly well; well, we'll see. It looks like I have an awesome crew of local djs that I will be spinning alongside of. This is going to be great!

Oh, so he could play the "open-the-Earth-and-invade-Hell-with-your-junglist-army" aggro type of stuff?I think I may be swapping with the wrong D'n'B/Jungle dj. That sounds wicked! I haven't heard Grimm Reeper before; is his stuff middle of the road, reggae/ragga, or hard?
Well, his DJ name is Grimm Reeper.
That should be a clue.

For all you folks who are coming out for Drop "The Swap" Part III tonight...
There is a slight line up change... Grimm Reeper will not be able to attend.

Grimm Reeper spins hard dark tech step, and I tell ya as many times as I have tried to play his records, tech step fucks with me every single freakin time, nothin worse then a drum beat thrown in there for no freakin apperent reason!!
Good luck!

Thank you for having us out! Even though I didn't get to "swap" I had an awesome time tagging with you. Remind me, next time, not to offer to leave you with a Billy Idol "original" track.
