I'm with Josh on this one... somewhat...

Horny Disco Balls is a hott track, but overplay/kill ruins it.

It's even worse when everyine has the track, and EVERYONE drops it in their set..

Most Cut & Run Tracks are hott..

i think that they are saying that that "shiny disco balls" track in general is played out. it doesnt matter what genre it is.

i actually liked it. it was sorta reminisent to hear the old 2 live crew samples (full metal jacket if your tryen to get technical)

It takes longer for a breaks track to get played out around here as opposed to Florida...

Down there, as soon as a track drops, its only good for about 2-3 weeks before its not worthy of playing in a club...

HORNY DISCO BALLS JUST CAME OUT LIKE LESS THAN 2 WEEKS AGO!

how the fuck is it already played out?

sure if your saying the original was played out yeah it was def, but its about time a new remix came out of that track. what year did that come out anyway like 2002/3?

oh boy....

are you all fucking stupid?

played out?

that song has been played in a club in dc by TWO people in this area.

1. factor e
2. me

jon played it at buzz, and at my birthday party last last week.

i played it at buzz this past week. and the only reason i played it is because we were playing all bangin to close out the main room.

explain to me how it just came out, and 2 people around here have played it to an actual decent crowd of people, and it's played out.

it's not something i would normally play, but that tune is a party rocker extrordinaire.

I would be happy to never hear the vocal ever again...personally I just think it's annoying as hell. The 2 live crew vocals were the only thing in the track I liked.

i was speaking of the original...

and give it about another 2-3 weeks, and most dj's that spin breaks will have that track, all trying to drop it. The breaks remix is nice, dont get me wrong... I like it, but its going to get played out...

and for you to say that , the track has been played out by only two people in the dc area, is saying that youre everywhere all the time, its only been played in front of you twice.

but all in all, things are different here than in florida, that track in florida is on its way to being played out... I was thinking of tracks vs. location at the time of posting my comments anyways... FACTORe definately cant get away with playing that track in florida much longer...

Stupid? Me. Hardly. Opinionated? Most Def.

actually after playing all over the place I've come to find out its only mostly DC that are snobs about shit being played out

everyone else plays whatever whenever, well thats if its good

florida is no different than anywhere else, I doubt they give a shit actually. Randy said he herd "out of space" like 45678 times last year at the Conference in Miami so that should tell you something about people caring about played-out-ness in florida

if Factore can't get away with playing it out much longer, why did he just put that shit on his newest mix?

this track will gets its play and I think only dc will complain about it

well, considering it JUST came out, and jon and i have played it on consecutive weeks, i think it's pretty safe to say that no one else in dc has played it out at a party yet. therefore, it's not played out in this city. and it's not something i would ever normally play. i played it because i was playing with peter. it is way too bangin for what i go for normally. so no, not every breaks dj is going to try to play it all the time.

actually after playing all over the place I've come to find out its only mostly DC that are snobs about shit being played out

correct. i bitch about shit like that. brandon brio and i were discussing this when he was here a few weeks ago. he still plays shit i call played out, but to the rest of the country, it's not.

you guys can argue semantics all day.

here i'll recap,

cut & run 012 is a great record.

This remix is not played out, it's just that the original song is dated.

it's a great mix.

honestly, if i played bangin stuff all the time, i'd be all over it.

cuz just like fasten your seatbelts...it's straight party rockin.

i've seen this song decimate 3 different places in 2 weeks.

and i'll see it decimate 2 more by week's end.

i know this is amusing coming from someone who plays slow techfunk, and definitely the opposite of this tune...but i can see the simple genius in it.

and per your comment on peter...there's a reason peter gets booked to play all over the place. because he is not afraid to play cheesy straight party rockin stuff.
