Thursday, feb. 23 MY LIFE WITH THE THRILL KILL KULT
$20, doors open at 8:30

just read this off the Black Cat website. no opening bands announced so far. their website doesnt give any information either, but i'm assuming this tour is to support their latest album Gay Black and Married.

i thought there may be one or two of you out there that might be interested.

i was looking at the line-ups for the black cat in the express yesterday, and was really dissapointed.

i mean.....i'm sure that most of the talent they are bringing through is good, but since i don't know any of it, i'm not sure what to see.

but my life with the thrill kill cult is a definite must.....they rocked fierce at the ministry show!!!

(speaking of......beth.......ONLY 6 MORE MONTHS!!!!! :hyper:)

and i agree with you about the Black Cat. i havent heard of 90% of the bands they bring. it would help if they at least gave descriptions on their website of what to expect.

I was just reading in another post on this board how people have gotten upset over these "old" groups touring. I saw this group for the first time in 88 on Charles Street in Baltimore @ Godfrey's Famous Ballroom; a club which is now part of the "Charles". They were the headline act along with some other "Wax Trax" group. My point is; I think they are still great over 17 years later. Damn I'm old.

i saw that recently also. when i posted the thread they hadnt announced bands yet, the TKK was still doing some kind of search for openers through myspace.

Mindless Faith and Cylab are opening.

mindless faith .. heh that will be a trip..

what happened to you at the black cat?

what happened to you at the black cat?

if I KNEW the answer to that, I would know if I would be able to get over my embarassment in time...

from what I've been told though, I made some enemies last time I was there... I felt like I had been punched the next day, but I was assured that didn't happen...

also, I actually kind of like Gay, Black & Married... it's straight up disco and is a pretty solid progression of where they've been going since "Hit & Run Holiday"

when I saw them in 94 or 95 with Lords of Acid (before LOA started sucking major ass) it was the "Sextacy Ball Tour"

I don't think there is a current Pigface incarnation. Their last tour was in April/May.
