about a year ago we ran into a problem that we're having now: people looking to collect payment weeks and months after their gig. i promise :cross: that this is not directed at anybody in particular b/c these requests happen every week.

:paddle: bringing back the old rule:
you must collect your money within two weeks of your gig.

we all have to work in the morning, but if you can't wait until 2 a.m. when the votes are tallied then you should have alternate plans:

email or pm me if it's from a previous week. tell me when you'll be at cubik or at alias. this way i'll have $50 on me to pay you right away. otherwise you'll have to wait until close. when the votes are counted. and many weeks alias doesn't pull in enough to cover $100. it's 15% of a $4 cover charge.
meet me in georgetown where i work
if you're going to be out of town then have a friend pick it up at alias for you. BUT please email me ahead of time to inform me that this person is legit. not that i don't trust your friends, but money is so easily "lost" or "misplaced". and anybody can claim you as a friend if i don't know them.
wait until 2 a.m. for the vote tally. i know it sux if you're not the winner, but if you can make it out to spin, could you just stay the extra hour or two if the $$ is important to you?
if you can't do any of these things, and 2 weeks pass, there's nothing i can do. i'm flat broke and having piles of $50 around the house when i have major bills to pay doesn't make a lot of sense if dj's are sleeping on it. like all gigs you get paid at the end of the night. alias isn't that much different.
i will pay you -- i'm not trying to get sheisty on you. but i'm in the promotion business, not the money management business.
