after finding out jazzanova's coming through over at the jazzysport pages, i spent about a half-hour trying to figure out where the "dc loft" is, which is what jazzysport + jazzanova listed the venue as. is that another name for five or is it some other space?

cant wait for jazzanova. last time i heard them they made my week. also, whichever one of them was actually present and dj'ing, made whatever skills i've aquired after 5 years of practice look like i just learned what vinyl was.... absolutely amazing mixing. and all with so much style only germans could have engineered it.

That was Alex last time at Five (July 2004); same guy this time around. Really enjoyed his set last night, and it was nice to hear such diversity both in genre and in mood.
