No no no no no. I would normally agree but I heard that Coolin' song by Heavy D on the ride into work this morning and it just made tomorrow's choice of genre that much more appealing!

Hah, that would be funny if Joe played D&B, and I played Dubstep, and maybe Kian could play Trance?...

well lately people have been saying that the music i make now is trance, so i might as well start playing it... :bricks:

LOL!!!! Not necessarily trance... but the elements that can surround a trance track are definitely present within some of your stuff. Either way, I figgity f*cks with what you make man. And btw... there ain't nothing wrong with Trance. Thats right I said it. WUT!

I don't know where you two get the idea that Kian is making trance. It's phat beats and techy house IMHO. Always good stuff though. I just might be able to make tomorrow.

I make that statement on the strength of two particular tracks. However, again I said that, its not necessarily trance. In fact, its not trance at all. There are trance like elements that exist within his tracks... such as the dreamy, echoed female voices, the floating surrounding ambience, and light chord progressions. Many genres of music have such elements as welll... ranging from house to even DnB. Take a listen to Global Communications remix of Lamb-Gorecki, which is an example what I mean from DnB. Either way, in no way am I implying that he is making trance.

i was mainly referring to what some of these girls out here say when i play my shit for em... yall know me, i dont deal with too many girls from the edm scene, mainly hiphop/r&b chics instead. when i was making dnb it was easy for them to identify as dnb, but now that i've switched to 124bpm, all of a sudden i'm TRANCE. ha

you know that had to be played.

It's amazing how good these tunes sound...in some cases, 20 years later. Careless Whisper -- WHAM...wow!

Al B. Sure - Night And Day
Roger Troutman w/Zapp - Computer Love
Hall & Oates - Say It Isnt So
Whitney Houston - How Will I Know
Tears For Fears - Head Over Heels
Rick James - Mary Jane

and of course (the joenice theme), Lionel Richie - All Night Long. No cds people....all 12". We all know Lionel is part of TEAM NICE.

hey moe, was that track that you dropped with the pulp fiction quote and surf gituar a remix you did? I vaguely remembering hearing a similar track whilst looking for records, but I don't remember it being as cool. I think you said something about "I fixed it"

Hah... I think that track is called "Pump Friction" by Unknown Artist. I guess they were afraid of getting sued... They used samples from the Pulp Fiction Soundtrack... Biggups!

yeah, I passed on pump friction the first time i heard it also, but luckily the second time I heard it I picked it up. I like how the whole tune plays out!

Biggups Joe! You playing the hot 80's beats gave me all kinds of ideas for production, a lot of good tunes bro!
Much thanks to Kian as well for having me thru and Biggups to everyone that came!
