Started back in September 2003, Expansion Broadcast (EXBC) helped launch the Destroyer.net Radio Network and has since become a staple of the Washington DC drum and bass scene. Broadcasting live every Friday, 7-11 PM on www.expansionbroadcast.com, EXBC features hosts DJ IllEffect & Shade, resident DJs Godfather Sage, Darkenetiks, Hitoi, and Deinfamous, along with other local guests each week.

INTELLECT:

Already collecting many genres of music for years including house, breakbeats and jungle, Luis and Locks decided to make their mark in the Washington, DC area. Luis had already been DJing several years prior to Locks but both decided to join up in 1996 and start Djing drum & bass in the DC Metro area. After a brief break apart in the past couple years, Luis and Locks have decided to reunite once again! More recently the two delve into the deepest realms of soulful dnb, taking you on a smooth rollercoaster ride of groove. It is obvious why Luis and Locks have been on the forefront of the DC drum&bass movement for nearly a decade.

Founded by Insulin in 2003 is a tight knit collective from the suburbs of Washington D.C. Each share the same common goal promoting Drum n Bass and opening up peoples ears and minds to new sounds. With Concept recently being signed to Epidemic Recordings and Insulin’s tracks being rotated by several big name DJ’s. 2006 looks to be a big year for the Type 1 Crew.

Us Crew started in 99 when they first had met and had the idea to produce and perform. With residencies at Sonar and starting their own label Recon Recordings, Us Crew is making big moves. 2006 is gonna be a great year for the crew as the third release will hit stores Monster Hit Logical & Prode - El Nino / Us Crew - Quid Pro Quo being canned by all the big DJ's from Raiden to Paul B. With many collaborations and originals in the pipeline, Us Crew will definitely be the ones to watch for the future.
