Miss Corcyra {Hampton Roads//Va Beach//Va}
Long overdue, Miss Corcyra steps into the scene, carrying a sense of musical artistry that leaves nothing other to be desired.
Her mysterious, haunting, and almost surreal dark breaks will envelop one's deepest thoughts into a feeling, an understanding, a movement undefined by
language. Influenced by the expressions of classical Rachmaninoff and Wagner, her modern and edgey breaks portray the inner workings of one's soul.
Introduced to EDM over ten years ago, her musical background extends from classical training, to the underground metro DC sound, with a love not only for
electronic. After years of experience assisting her fellow musicians throughout the DC scene, Corcyra now precisely demonstrates her own natural abilities that
so many, musicians and listeners, long for.
Philthy Phil {Conscious Collective // Digital Aggression // VA}
DJ Philthy Phil started his career in the dance music scene in 1997. He spent several years exploring the huge number of raves and club nights that were springing up everywhere on the East Coast before eventually finding himself with a pair of turntables. Phil began seriously mixing in late 1999 - early 2000 and since then, his style has evolved through an array of Hard Bangin'/Funky House, Breaks, Electro, Techno, Booty House, Baltimore Club, Progressive, Tech House, and Scratching. His first DC appearance was the underground club night Fluid at the Warehouse in Northeast, DC. Phil has since worked the house party, club and one-off circuit, most recently performing at events in and around the DC / VA / MD / PA / WV area. Phil currently resides in Northern VA, where he works on producing beats and expanding his musical talents to include the more advanced turntable techniques, specifically scratching.
DJ Pharmacuetikal {Hardware Conflict//Va}
DJ Pharmacuetikal started out in the club scene in 1994. In 1996 he bought his first set of turntables. Starting out spinning mostly breaks. His musical interest switched to Chicago Hard House and Techno. It wasnt until he started spinning UK Hard House and Hard Trance in 2000 that he got his first major gig spinning at the Edge. He took some time away from the scene for a few years, but now is back spinning at venues all around VA, DC, MD, and WV areas. His most recent musical tastes have switched to funky house with a little hard flavor.
COMMON KNOWLEDGE {Common Knowledge/Dc}
DJ’s Ademaro and Nonchalant have both been involved in the DC scene for years, doing everything from promoting local events to hosting their own weeklys and one-offs. They have now teamed up to form the drum and bass duo Common Knowledge. Whether it be the deep soulful sounds of liquid funk, smooth raga-laced dub or hard-banging techy dnb, Common Knowledge represent every style of drum and bass to the fullest and do not disappoint a crowd.
