Summer rolls into it's twilight moments like it has so many times before
and september seems to be a pivotal point of instability and fluxuation
the more answers that are found usually open the way for more questions
neverending the journey continues to be in all of it's bittersweet definites

the desperate demand for an affect to ripple outward from one's self beckons
unsatisified goes his thirst to justify his existence among his fellow peers
in disgust he feels imprisoned until he can make tomorrow's sun shine brighter
finally reaching a point where the gift of being alive is all he really needs
there is a difference that is set before him ripe for the taking

the emptiness felt from drifting like a lonesome feather in the wind fades away
when the missing piece turns out to have nothing to do with him at all

to the soundtrack of a moonlit cricket orchestra
sleep is nowhere to be found amist his struggle
tomorrow comes too soon at the five thirty mark
and with gear stowed at the ready
train leads to a train which leads to a plane
and what is worth crying for
becomes worth sacrificing for
finally, the world makes a little sense

in countryside wilderness all too peaceful
another launch point for the life offensive
not only for himself but for others as well
there's the cancer he can't stop
there's the age that chips away at bones
and the parents that love with all their heart
an imperfection most often lost

speaking of hearts there's his
damaged beyond repair and conceded
in forever being alone in this wicked game
but what was black runs red yet again
as an existence forever questioned
can possibly be the difference in tomorrow

one cannot save the world
and he is happy to be the fool
that plans to ignore that fact
and give it his best shot anyways
