Matte (rhymes with latte) is the new spot by the owner of Gua-Rapo, Chi-Cha, Gazuza, etc. . . offering Modern decor, sushi and supposedly a $20,000 sound system. I hear this joint is very cool indeed. Its right next to the new theatre across from the waterfront in Georgetown @ 3101 K St NW (beware there is no sign). Note: I was told "fashionable" attire is required (no t-shirts, no sneaks), but I'm not sure how strictly its enforced. I'll be stretching out over 6 hours (9:00 - 3:00), so I'll definitely be covering all the bases from deep to bangin'.
