Two records before the end of adam's set the rotary volume knobs and crossfader stopped working. So when you put a record/cd on you could hear it on the main system. The only way to cue your incomming track was to turn EQ's all the way down and turn gain to about 3. It was hard because of how loud the house system was and all you could hear was muted trbble in the headphones. Adam and i tried every button the thing... still no help. Thank god for hooman. it took him a bit, and we had to shut the system down twice. but eventually he got it.

the cable that connects the cross fader and rotary levels to the main board had shaken loose inside the mixer. hooman got a tool and used it to push the cable back onto the connector and boom! Fixed.... i was sooooo freakn' happy! :wee:

Interesting... I knew there was a new mixer which is why I was curious... cause the thought I had was "didn't they JUST install that thing within the last 2 months or so?"

love allen and heath... but fucking christ I hate rotaries...

not that this matters since i've yet to play the main room of Five (at least not since it was called "Ozone" or "Steel" whichever was earlier) and have no main room dates at Five... but still... I wanted to put my distain for the rotary knobs out there all the same. :wink:
