Just because its released you won't play it? Wow, I think there are just to many great tunes to play to ever be like that. I try to keep myself away from that kind of mentallity.
First of I have no where near the amount of money to keep up to date on tunes coming out. If I start thinking it has to be fresh, new, new , new - then I find myself checking record stores 4 times a day. The tunes I played last week, are old this week... -Well I guess most of my record collection I've picked up was in the frame of mind. Now I find myself buying records, once every two - three months, and digging through my crates finding jems, that I really didn't give the proper time or attention to. I also find in the same kind of aspect that some of the other record labels put tunes out just to damn fast. Many of you prolly feel the opposite, an that its not fast enough. I feel there needs to be more attention giving to the artist/producer. More time for the tune. So the record has a real shelf life. I don't think it's fair to release, release, release,... Not fair to the tune or artist or the label for that matter. Just a few of my thoughts- ...then again I guess the scene is the scene, and it just goes the rate it goes, -full steam ahead.:ANden:

Perhaps it is a downfall of mine but I tend to get sick of playing certain records after two weeks or so. I am online all day at work so I check record sites on the regular. I sometimes feel like I NEED new tunes. At the same time, I would never sell any of my old records. It is a collection, that continues to grow and if I were to look back on it, the collection would tell a story of the music that I enjoyed and different points in my life. And I too find myself going back and pulling out tunes I used to love.

I'm so glad I'm out of the mind set that "I need new tunes" - but not that I don't want them. Jeez there are tons of tune I want. Seems all I do now is upgrade the studio or pour what little money I have into the record label. Be tuff to have a record addiction. And it really is a expensive habit at that. Don't get me wrong, I am a fiend for this music- love it. I just feel alot of the tunes/artists/labels/djs don't give toons a proper time to enjoy their shelf life.

I heard it on Redeye when it came out....it's really really good. I tend to favor Pacific's tunes when I venture outside of my liquid realms. It makes sense that he would remix a song like Breathe.

The original is on Danny Howells' Nubreed cd....probably THE best progressive mix to ever grace this earth.

breaks are like the red headed stepchild.

but i'd look at it like this, the red headed stepchild has the better chance of being heard. Yes less people are listening but the breaks scene isnt so saturated with dj's.
