big tuners man. big tuners.

i still wish they'd invest in some decent studio monitors though, their tunes sound like they use my 1982 Cerwin Vegas.

i think their mixdowns are fine for the sound theyre going for. slit sounds amazing on vinyl

their tunes sound great on CD, but for DJs buying a record w/shitty sound quality = can't play it in a set w/out having to crank the EQs.

which track are you talking about in particular? it might well be a pressing issue.

i've been told they use home stereo speakers (like shelf speakers or whatever) to produce with. to me (from the tunes i've heard) that explains a lot.

the tune i have is slit/fill me in.

I hate hate hate hate having to do this!:shady:

Especially when you're shopping through samples for vinyl, and a tune sounds f'n glorious... but when it arrives, the quality is about the same as I heard on my laptop speakers. Grr.

thats possible, lots of people mixdown on hi-fis (i do) .. i even own decent monitors but prefer the hifis for mixing down. honestly their tracks sound really good tho to me.. i think your copy of slit might be weird, mine is loud as fuck and sounds ok mixdown wise, the bass is almost a little bit overpowering but i think thats intentional, kind of like breakage- so vain.

the bass is full on my copy, but everything else is quiet as fuck (including the drums).
