We continue to be amazed by the energy and enthusiasm of the people who come out to Alchemy and our occasional special events. This Sunday's Freaks United was a wonderful time--speaking for all the staff, the bands and the many, many DJs, we want to thank all of you who came out and made all the effort of putting it together worth it, and a special thanks to everyone who ate and enjoyed the food provided by our master caterers Heather and Lori.

This week, we have a special treat--a "free" live performance from

Chicago's electro/industrial up-and-comers Kill Memory Crash. KMC are pioneering a sound that blends the new-wave revival of electro and the distorted, guitar-driven edginess of oldschool industrial, producing a new sound all their own. Their track "Crash V8" has been tearing up the floors at Alchemy the past several months, and their recently released CD "American Automatic" is sure to produce more tracks you will be hearing regularly. You can learn more about KMC and hear/purchase their music at http://www.ghostlyinternational.com...stly/gi42.shtml

Kero (aka DJ Kero) from Detroit has performed with acts like Speedy J, and done remixes for acts like the Venetian Snares, just to toss out a couple examples...it is hard to reduce it all to a couple sentences but he has tons and tons of material you can check out on his web site: http://www.djkero.com/

Manhunter are a Takoma Park-based duet who also combine elements of electro, breaks and experimental in their music...the mp3s on their web site do a better job of speaking for them than words ever could: http://www.manhunterworldwide.com/

Rounding out the list of special guests this week is SIMON, best known for the series of Sleaze parties he has thrown at various locations in DC (originally at Heaven and Hell, a couple in conjunction with Alchemy, and most recently at Club Five). Simon has helped to debut acts like Swayzak, The Glass and My Robot Friend to DC, among many, many others, and he can always be counted on to drop new tracks in his sets before most people even know they are released... http://www.djsimon.us/

Spinning on club side this week will also be Alchemy regular Steve Archer.

On the deck this week, DJ Shade will be joining PunkSteve to bring you the finest and Punk and Alternative.

On concert side, DJ Defekt will take a rare turn behind the "other side" decks, along with DJs RasDNA and 2501.
