----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Give Productions (http://www.giveproductions.com/) started ::TRANSIT:: in the spring of 2004 to bring a taste of downtown nightlife to the suburbs, and to provide a platform for new and up and coming DJs to show their skills. We're always looking for new talent, so if you spin, bring copies of your mixes or live sets with you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::TRANSIT:: has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, a booming soundsystem, 'intelligent lighting' and dance floor that's great for breaking. And for the kids who don't want to get too freaky in the middle of the week, we've got a bunch of pool tables or you can just hang out and have some beer and nachos or a cheeseburger from the kitchen while listening to some great dance music.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
::TRANSIT:: is rapidly becoming a legendary party, just like Give's previous events at 'The Studio'. Don't miss out on the party that everybody is talking about.

Alex Hall is an awesome producer. Fire released a three album set about five years ago that had several quality tracks and one he did for Cass and Slide. His sound is very familar for those of us who were prog and house heads back in 1999, especially in Chicago.
Should be a treat for sure.
I encourage everyone to download the sets Brian provided.
Hope everyone has a good Monday.

Barney has some of the same techniques as Grimace; where they both waddle along sideways and stuff their face with French Fries. But yeah Grimace seems like he would be alot quicker and he could throw down. On the other hand Barney has two little decoys he could use to distract Grimace while he sprays him with mace.

never a dull moment at TRANSIT..
'nuff said!
anyhow.. last night was fun...as always...
HEIST - you started things of nicely.. well as nice as D&B can get.. heheheh.. smooth mixing and great track selection
ALEX HALL - THANK YOU VERY MUCH for stopping by.. was great talking to you. You set was absolutly off the hook.. so much variety... definitely had me bouncing for a while! I wish you the best in your new residency and that monthly you were talking about! We will be talking again soon!
PHAYDN - once again.. ON POINT... you may have felt that your set wasnt good.. but hey .. i thought it was great.. then again.. im not a D&B critic sooo it all sounds good to me at point.. no matter.. smooth! BOOMDEK definitely added a nice touch to teh set without going overboard
RANDOM - what more can i say cept that you closed the night out perfectly.. smooth Jazzy D&B is my fav.. and then ya mixed it up in typical RANDOM fashion torwards the end.. PROPS!!! definitely will be having you back again!
Thank you Lee for the help setting up.
Thank you David as always for the pictures and the lending of your cdj's
Thank you Jenn (ego's bitch) for .. uhhh.. ya.. the entertainment!
Thank you all Transitians for the undying support!
:woot: and Stuff!!
till next week.. same bat time.. same bat channel!
p.s. oddly enough i feel pretty good this morning .. especialy for getting home and falling a sleep on the counch

my favorite parts of the night:
- andrew telling jenn and i we were the mtv couple. then adding on to that that i was the rockstar and she was the rockstar girlfriend.
- andrew telling me that he was brian's father (while brian was listening)
- alex hall dropping the dylan rhymes mix of turn me out, INTO basco's to the beat. HOT SHIT!!!
i had a spectacular time.
and ramiro, i wasnt bullshitting with you, i still wanna play at transit with you. house and breaks woot!
I had a fantastic time last night. I love being a drunken asshole, especially when I'm not too drunk to remember everything or feel sick afterwards. Anyway, was great seeing everyone, Alex Hall spun a great set and was a really nice guy, the dnb sounds so much better at Transit than at Nation, and the mc guy was even pretty good...he said it himself, he knows when to shut up.
I got my pictures on my computer this morning, and as usual, there are some gems. I'll get them up on the GIVEPRODUCTIONS site when I get home from work this afternoon.

Ugh, I do so hate being called "Dave." (Short story, long time ago.) If you feel the need to shorten my name, do please call me Id.
Oh, and I accept any and all forms of rep points for my efforts, because rep makes people cool! Hehehehehe.

So do you prefer you rep points in cash or credit??
Nice pics, you guys have a very nice party going on, the one time I was there I had a great time! will try to do it again.
Aziz
Cash is preferable, but since these are the boards, I'll just take what I can get. :)
And yeah man, you really need to get out again. Transit rocks!
