<h5>
ok so im not sure if one has been started yet and ive never really posted in them, but tonight im sitting here and wanted to share.
A captain and his copilot sitting by the lake
with the dark and stillness of the night
Reminiscing of their very first date.
Relaxing and speaking at ease to the early hours of the morning
while on their minds only Longing and thinking of the other
their journey has taken them so far and wide, many a nights of
tears they have cried. The love they feel is so deep and so
true but the question that is constantly asked “why do I still
feel blue”
time was standing still on that bench a moment that
will never escape their hearts. Feelings that will never
die even when the seas keep them worlds apart.
A captain and his copilot sitting by the lake
saying their Last goodbye before the ship was to sail
not knowing when time will bring them Back together again
the only things that could be said till then was
“till I see you again”
nice one kelli :)
if it wasn't after 7am and me having been awake all night... i probably wouldn't so tired to get inspired, but as of yet, I am. perhaps another day...
what is one to do
when trapped in sad paradise
their heart somewhere else
It's all i've got. I'm not much of a writer....wish I could put words together better, I have a lot to say.

BRING
IT
ON.
that's my victory cheer
my battle cry for help
you think i'm doing flips over my own inquisition?
my curiosity of the past?
cue the (default) reassurances
"leave it be"
"let it go"
"let it stay where it belongs"
sounds like the right thing to do
but being right is never easy
you should know this by now
you should know ME by now
would you mind carrying this burden for just a sec?
i need a moment to breathe
....
......
........
okay, i'm back.
go ahead.
force feed me your words
don't give me any options
that's my order
otherwise i'll chew them up and spit them out
back into your hands for you to deal with
meanwhile, i'll deal with your mess
the one that loves to hate me

Staggering down the street our poet is
like a bird with a wing clipped
again and again his attempts to fy
find him slamming into the wall
over and over again
staggering in a relentless effort
you can almost hear the faint sound
of sullen strings echoing saddness
people pass by and don't give notice
injured and in it's last breath the poet
meanwhile the girl who dreams and dreams
about a man loving a cigarette like the woman
that he plans to take home later on that night
is out there and ignorant to the wiser
that its her words that keep him through the day
late this night is and only one can wonder
of what she does dream of now
meanwhile the poet desperately struggles
to keep his head above water

her eyes:
she was lost throughout the night
stumbling through the darkness searching
clawing her way the forests of souls
while his name sat at the tip of her tongue
in panic that she did not understand but felt
where could he be, he must be here somewhere
maybe there was some ground left unchecked
something she overlooked on the initial attempt
a spot where he was, waiting for her
arms wide for an embrace she trusts
an asylum where she could close her eyes
a needle in a haystack she was there somewhere
wading through the chaos with reckless abandon
trying to push past each crowd in some hope
that just another few steps she would find him
and while each step just led to dissapointment
she didn't give up hope that he was there
somewhere
waiting to be disarmed by her smile
she wandered for most of the night
and as the sunrise rose across her face
tear stains were evident
his eyes:
no task can ever be accepted as impossible
even if the odds were agains his favor
his eyes scanned all that came before him
each face he saw was a step closer
on the path that would lead to her
burned into memory was her gentle smile
an image that upon thought invoked daydreams
it was this possession of hers that he had hoped
would be the difference at the end of the day
her face would stand out amongst the masses
and from there he could make his way to her
but time passed unforgivingly instead
and she was nowhere to be seen
then the sun rose that reminded him of her smile
and he had to accept that he had failed in his search
so he took seat in silence to welcome the sun to the new day
and when the sun warmed his face in the morning
he closed his eyes so he could at least daydream
daydream of her

"In the Between"
The faint smell of fruit carrying with it a whispered word, (14)
An alcoholic apple breeze feeding a feverish body trance. (17)
Whole bodies beating together, throbbing in rhythm to their own song
Of aching hearts, winded lungs, and slimy sweaty skin.
I draw near and hold your longing gaze for a second’s worth of eternity,
Lost in the chilled heat sensations of beaded goose flesh.
A paper-thin space between two lovers, this is where we lay,
Waiting,
Breathing.
The touch of your tongue on mine, oh that sweet apple taste married, (14)
A full body kiss drawing energy to one distinct pinnacle. (17)
Eyelids lower, dulling the obsolete and welcoming a merge
Of animal instinct, biting teeth, and clawing hands.
You pull me closer with lustful need in spite of painfully knuckled hair,
Drown in electricity that crackles through tragically exposed skin.
No thin space between two lovers, this is how we lay,
Gripping,
Shaking,
In the space between two lovers.
