One of the reasons I make a conscious effort not to drink before I play, no matter how late it is. Sometimes I'll have a (read: one) drink, but that's about it. Having to resort my bag is annoying as all hell.

happens to me quite often...sober. i always pull the sleeves up of the 2 records on the decks, and i always throw the record back in the wrong sleeve.

I got really drunk after my first time at Alias last June. So drunk that I carried my record bag out from behind the decks, walked over to the bar and set them on the ground so that I could go pee. Yet I was completely surprised to find that my bag had vanished when I returned. Smooth. Luckily, dude I was crushing on spotted the bag thief and recovered my beloved record bag for me.

Hitoi lemme just say you were lucky as all hell. I don't know what I'd do if I ever had a bag of records stolen. Had a close call the one time tho.

When I was living in PSU I came down here to do a show one weekend. While I was at the club I got a phone call from my roommate saying some kid walked into my apartment during a get together my roomies were having. The dude was blackout drunk and just started chucking my records over our balcony and into the street. Fucker sent some of my rarest shit to their doom.

Even when I get absolutely hammered when I play, which is everytime, I don't have this problem.

It's cuz you just play that one record with that one beat over & over & over...

That's what my grandmother would say at least.

One time I switched records in their sleeves. I've never again made that mistake.

Apparently, I'm incredibly compulsive about the way I treat my records. They all go back in their sleeve, and right into the box. If you catch me right after any set, I can tell you exactly what I played when, because they're all still in order in my box.

No, you just have a problem of other people getting your records mixed up.

Did you find him and make him eat his testicles?

edit: yes, I also have the record problem.

almost every single time I play out somewhere I put at least two records back in the wrong sleeve...

it's hard to put an odd number of records into the wrong sleeves, but when I've been really wasted, it's happened.
