So I've got this venue I want to use, but the owner is concerned about amplified sound disturbing the neighbors.

Any body know of a sound rental company that also has portable sound proofing?

Does this sort of thing even exist?

while the subject is up (and i'm too lazy to search for old posts), i'm gonna need some soundproofing when i move into a condo soon. is that foam stuff at stores just for stopping echo, or does it actually work as soundproofing as well? i guess if necessary, i'll even build some sort of raised flooring to let me blast louder...

sound proofing rentals are hard to come by... all the stuff I've ever used is installed only cause its in strategic places.

I've found a few places, but nothing local.

you could 'try' Chuck Levins in Wheaton, MD. they do everything for the schools in the area as well as some bars and clubs.

how much reduction would soundproofing do?

i doubt it would prevent disturbing the neighbours,

im from uk and problem isnt always the noise from the club, its the noise from the people moving in or out

Apparently you can rent these masssive sound proof curtains. I've emailed a couple places.. we'll see what happens.
