I was wondering if there are any bands that have electronic elements that y'all are in. I know DJ Inergy is trying to get a dance punk project going, and I have Orin. And no, laptop sets and live PAs DON"T COUNT! Laptops are just djing samples.

I'm just seeing whats out there. Godlove DJs, I'm one too, but I really would like to see more live stuff going on, and I'd be intrested in working with some peeps to get an event like that going on!

I'm talking bands that play electronic music, any style. I'm asking if theres bands that at least have a synth player in it.

On another note, I thik that if people do a laptop set, you should have a camera showing the monitor screen and play that out on a big screen. I can never tell what they are doing when I'm watching. For all I know they could be chatting on aim while they play an mp3. Also, I think it would be cool to see stephen hawking do a laptop set ^_^

most of the time what i do when i do live pa is:

I set up acid and put loops down to begin with. then i play the beginning and improvise my loops/tempo/timecode/etc. from there.

there's this band that plays at my work all the time.... they've got the sweetest setup ever: roland V-DRUMS (like what), multiple drum machines and a yamaha synth of some sort.... they do 80s cover music, basically... got a killer cover of 99 red balloons.... they play for DC nites, so you guys could probably see them up near the city, too. the name's reflex. i heart them.

i got an Astralyte cd the other week. its actually pretty good.

i wonder if any guys from the band are on here. i'm pretty sure they're local.

if anything, i want to see them perform at Cubik again. i remember they performed with MFA maybe a year ago.

i play bass, guitar, and can work a sequencer/sampler, as well as a soundboard(you'd be surprised how much you actually need one on stage)

won't have time till the fall to practice, but hit me up
