there are so many fucking idiots that take every opportunity they can to make snide remarks about how dnb sucks etc.. you all can fucking have it your way becasue im done with it. the reason i feel these remarks are relevant is becasue they are preemptive to the sort of attitudes that pushes dnb into backrooms with shit sound, no sound engineer, fucked up time slots, etc.. this will never change until the genre gets the respect it deserves as a whole. i dont expect people love it, just people to acknowledge that it is just another form of electronic music and its here to stay, there should be a niche for everyone and noone deserves the kind of shit ive only really seen on this board. everyone jokes, thats one thing.. but when it becomes a constant thing it really is indicitive of people's underlying intentions.. this also seems to be exclusive to this message board for some reason.. never really seen it on any of the other mixed genre locals

recent dnb kicks ass. if you dig.. i hope you can see there is a difference between not liking certain tracks in a genre and dissing the whole genre.

everyone has the right to an opinion, doesnt mean that it has to effect you necessarily.

Such is the thought process of someone who sits in the corner arms crossed judging every which way he can while not doing a single thing to push the evolution of the genre he supposedly "supports".

When you grow up(you know, get hair in funny places and start thinking about girls) you'll realize that there are going to be people out there that don't have the same appreciation for the things you do.

If you cease your worries about those who don't like dnb and focus that energy into the future of your genre you might find yourself getting somewhere.

Play on message board rebel, play on.

i dont see why you're complaining here... DnB has been very big in DC and Bmore EDM scene for the past couple years...

and how many DnB heads have you heard elude to how house, trance, hardcore, etc. suck?

seriously we could all argue which genres suck and which one deserve more attention for eternity... but it's all EDM and we dont need this petty bullshit over what and who is better... that's what rap is for.

let's all just enjoy the music we like and dance and spin.

im not talking about dc or bmore, just this message board. its something ive observed and im writing about it becasue im bored. i dont know , its just natural for me to respond defensively when i see people criticizing something i love. you're right , dnb is lookin ok in this area but theres always the potential for the music to grow or shrink, and publicly making sentiments on a dance message board that its all shit certainly doesnt help the music grow imo.. also its not like ive never said i dont like a genre. even on here i think.. but its not a constant thing or aynthing .. some people seem like they spend more time bashing the music and the djs then they do posting constructively

honestly....what the FUCK are you talking about????

you sure as shit haven't heard people slagging drum&bass in this forum, and i'm curious to where exactly you have.

this is BUZZLIFE'S fucking message board. cubik IS NOT a drum&bass party. you simply CAN'T expect drum&bass to be the main focus & get the same respect as the "main room" genres at cubik when NOBODY FUCKING GOES to the drum&bass nights they DO have.

seriously man...the ONLY thing you can do is take what you're given, and work with it. i really don't know where the fuck all this hostility is coming from...especially since myself & countless others have done everything they can to educate the "others" on what drum&bass has to offer.
