View Full Version : Not new, just back from hiatus
Hey all.
Some of you may remember me, some may not, most won't care (including all of the aforementioned groups), but I'm back after a year-and-a-bunch-of-months-long hiatus.
During that time, I was not DJing, so I felt as though my DJ name, LOGO, was no longer relevant. So my sock puppet, Ka$h-Money (http://buzzlife.com/forums/member.php?u=10338) began posting on my behalf a few months ago.
Since I'm back, and DJing again, Ka$h-Money will be put back in the sock drawer from whence he came.
Anyway, I just wanted to say  and that it's good to officially be back.
Stay tuned for information on upcoming gigs and various events sponsored by my budding production collective, atomicvibe.

yay your back person I don't know...or maybe don't remember. Now get to work on some music, sheep!
HA!
Actually, I'm sitting on some stuff that was recorded live at a party this past April Fool's night.
My boy Milky White (formerly, DJ Zeloute) and I tag-teamed 4-for-4 for 6 straight hours, then I continued on by myself for about another 3 hours.
We played everything from Deep to Funky Progressive, Funky House, Disco House, Tech House/Techno, Dark Progressive Breaks, Funky Breaks, Nu-Skool Breaks, and Hard House.
My recording (on my Powerbook) stopped after about 3.3 hours, but luckily, the host of the party started recording about that time from his home studio. All my stuff is still in it's native Peak VST file format, but very soon, I will assign tracks to it, split it up 3 ways, and make CDs from it. As for the studio-recorded portion of our set, I'll have to get together with the host of the party soon, and do the same thing with the sound files he has.
I will be sure to drop a note when all this stuff is ready.

Probably do. I distributed the fuck out of my old demo. Plus I just heard last night from a friend in Berkely, CA that the CD is still being copied and distributed out there. It's got an orange cover with a really funky design, and is entitled, "Exploration: House."
Even though the tracks are a few years old, I'm still floating this one around, if anyone wants a copy. It's mostly a Tribal & Funky Progressive style mix. PM me or whatever for details.
In addition to this past April Fool's night set, we will also be recording our weeklys at Tsunami in Annapolis, so we will always have current, live mixes to distribute.

Hi! I remember your name on here a few yrs back, i used to be another name back in those days. Welcome back!
Thanks!
So who did you used to be? (The type of question that, if asked in RL, might garner a weird look or two.)

Im not sure i should say, due to fact i was quite unpopular. Advocatus was my ol name, then i grew up a bit and had a full body/mind makeover into the Detrimental ol woman flying the bird. Haha, yea, that would be a great Q to ask outloud in a church prayer meeting.
