When hip-hop was born, the man known as Rupert Parkes began to evolve into
the artist called Photek. He later joined the Metalheadz label, releasing tracks such as "Consciousness," "Into the 90s," and "The Rain." Later in the 90s he became a sought-after remix artist, reworking tracks by Dr. Octagon, Everything but the Girl, Goldie, David Bowie, and Zero 7. More recently, he's remixed the theme song to Six Feet Under and been featured in numerous video games and commercials.

Duncan Busto broke onto the UK Drum and Bass scene in 1995 with "Mendacity,"
a Timeless Recordings track championed by LTJ Bukem. Some of his best-known
releases, including "Chapter 2" and "Confusion," came on that label, and since then DJ Spirit has achieved notoriety through his collaborations with Digital for Metalheadz and Razor's Edge as well as their own label, Phantom Audio.
