I went to the last NIN tour the day I was to be at my college graduation--but I was front row and Trent Reznor shook my hand--I think I made the right decision....

I don't think they ever "pack" the 930 Club. I know it sells out, actually quite often but it's never dangerously uncomfortable. He will def sell out a show there so maybe he will have multiple nights.

actually, 930 doesn't get overly crowded. the most packed i've ever seen it was n.e.r.d/b.e.p. last year, but even then it didn't feel like if there was a fire anyone would not be able to get out. if you stand to the back on the left of the stage, there is always space there.

That's because they don't use the wristbands like Patriot Center or Baltimore Arena (whatever it's called now) and everyone chooses to be on the floor instead of the balcony. I don't think there's a "bad" seat in the house at 930 imo...

the last time i was @ 930 for flogging molly it was packed as fuck. but still tolerable i guess. i was up in the balcony so i wasn't getting squashed on the floor tho... but if nin does play 930 i'll still go. when i first saw them in philly i was right up against the rail on the floor with god knows how many people pushing up against me from behind. if i can deal with that, i can deal with the 930.
i hope they come to dc/md area too... if they don't i want to get philly tix, but that means they will have to post it before the philly tix go on sale this fri. :ponder:

finially "find tickets" became availible.

i went through the process and was denied.

so i tried about 30 more times all rapid-fire style and shit.

i called ticketmaster in DC.

they said call philly.

i got "all circuits are busy"

i kept trying and got through on about the 10'th call.

the tickets that you see on ebay are more than likely presale tickets. they are also sold by companies that specifically make their money selling tickets on ebay. i image they have a deal going with ticketmaster to get the first cut of the presale. those tickets are gone before you even get a chance to grab them.

Rupert Parkes, aka Photek, was recently given the special task of remixing Nine Inch Nails first single, "The Hand That Feeds". Splat recently caught up with Photek to ask him a few questions.

1) What is your opinion on that track, "The Hand that Feeds" by NIN?

PH) I first heard The Hand in it's last stages a few months back. I did some production bits on another track called "All The Love"so I was lucky enough to hear most of the album during the mix and Hand was one of the ones that really stuck in my head. "Beside You In Time" is also amazing.

2) What kind of remix have you given "The Hand that Feeds" and what was the inspiration behind it?

PH) To see Trent Reznor /NIN in action in the studio was truly inspiring... I ended up doing 3 different mixes. My personal favorite is the Ruff mix, actually it's probably one of the best remixes I've ever done. I think that it's going to be on the Japanese release of the album. The beats are very typical Photek, I would describe it as 140bpm future Drum&Bass. The Dub mix is the more clubby one - it's a heavy builder, less vocals. The Strait mix starts out similar to the original and develops into a version of the Dub mix.

3) Will the remix feature as a 'B-Side' track on "The Hand that Feeds" CD Single?

PH) There's a limited edition release (Halo18) with the Strait mix & Dub mix. The Ruff mix might also appear on the promo package.

4) Have you been asked to do any other NIN tracks?

PH) I'm sure we will be working together again...

5) What are your plans for 2005?

PH) To finish the first draft of my next album!
