Continuing from the locked thread I just had to reiterate....

Seriously Anabolic Frolic tore up the room last night at Nation! We spent three days camping in Canada somewhere near where Jesus lost his sandals just to see him and others at WEMF a few summers back. That night he proposed to his girlfriend then tore up the tent. He's amazing! (He's since married and has a baby--congrats to the family!)

Last night when he began "Turn up the music, music...." in the middle of his set the place went c-razy! It truly didn't stop from the beginning to the end of his set. I also paid the $25 to see him (as someone mentioned in the previous thread) but it was worth every penny. I took a few pics and they should be posted some time this week....

So yeah HHC in DC ;) is awesome like more from Anabolic Frolic and Brisk....as I said last night, come on, you know you listen in your car and it makes you want to drive 150 mph!

 Happy 2B Hardcore!

And might I just add that Kathy, you rock! You looked like you were having so much fun taking pics throughout that whole time even though you really looked like you just wanted to drop everything and get down with the rest of us. I can't wait to see the pics!

Actually, that night I didn't take pictures the whole time....I didn't know if my photo request went thru or not right away since it wasn't a buzzlife event. I danced a bit when I first got there and then I went out later to my car to get my photo gear--I just had to capture Anabolic Frolic at least (in retrospect, I wish I took more of the other well-deserving performers as well....)

I know traditionally and from what was posted on other threads re this party, the HHC stuff appears to be a love/hate thing. I have a place in my heart for many genres--drum n bass makes me think of Val, Deb, Alex...dancing in the front room; BBB and his Chicago house makes me think of my hometown area (Chicago area) and how disco never really died but just evolved into another style we all know and love; HHC makes me think of WEMF and all those wild Canadians dancing for three days straight camping out in the middle of nowhere that got about 40 degrees at night and 85-90 degrees in the day time in the middle of summer with no showers but it was one of the best, memorable family vacations ever....so yeah, Anabolic Frolic leaves me with a warm and fuzzy....what can I say  he moves me, and from the look of the picture evidence, he moved the whole room during his set on Sunday (pics will be posted soon!...)

It was super seeing you as always! I love how you and people like Mary, Alex, Val, Mike...are always upbeat and spreading the good times at the parties. And I love, love the outfits and accessories :plurstick:

i must agree... Sunday night was good times. T1000 and Nigel Richard both had pretty good sets. Good to hear Techno and Acid at Nation. Def good to see a few familiar faces- David (E:go), Rouz, and Tim Resistor : )

As for Frolic- he was hella fun. I saw him back in October at Whistle in Philly... that set he played more of the H2BHC anthems (Raver's Anthem, Elysium, Don't Cry For Me, etc) than this one... but he doesnt need to play tracks like that to be fun.

What blows is that he was the only DJ who had an hour set as opposed to an hour and half. But a solid hour is better than no Frolic in DC at all :hyper:

I was actually really hoping to hear a couple more anthems from Frolic, but I was obviously very happy that I got to hear him spin at all. The only other time I've heard HHC at a club was when Empath spun really late at Transit. It was fun/funny, but just not the same feel as a big place like Nation. I really hope something can be done about bringing more people out like this.
