In a weird turn of events, I was just talking to the promoter and it turns out that this night is there 9th party... and my lucky number is 9. (has been for 15 years now)

The party I'm playing is in this old warehouse, the party is on the first floor while the two floors above it is actually a residence for a collective of artists and musicians, it's actually a really cool spot.
There is definitely some good ol fashioned "getting down" in Winston-Salem, you just have to know where to look.

I feel like such a loser for actually living near this and not being able to go. My dj ho skills are lacking these days. Besides Cliff being awesome and worth the trip, Kevamine is a good friend of my ex and a really kick ass dj. It should be a good show, wish I could go and shake it.

So last night was definitley tied for my favorite gig(the other gig holding the rank was March 25th at Nation). I actually got the early slot, starting at 9 and going til 10:30, but that got extended to 11 pm.
Korrekt and I actually tagged the first 1.5 and I took the last half hour to myself, and from start to finish every track was on point and my mixes were pretty smooth. The room didn't fill up until 10:30 and at when it was everyone in the room was getting the fuck down. It's undescribable when the whole room is feeling every track from dj to dancer to promoter to bartender to the kid who usually doesn't dance but does this time.
One of the things that made me quite happy is that Chicago and Futonbunny were there from start to finish and it was good to have some of the dc heads in NC supporting me, so a big thanks goes to them for coming out to support.
The venue itself is a warehouse and a beautiful space to play, if anyone is ever in the area when one of these parties are going down I highly recommend that you attend.
It was an awesome night and one that will live in memory for years to come.
AND good times.... were had by all.
