Cupcakes have not all been delivered. I had shit to do last night and didn't get a chance to deliver them to everyone that needs one, including you Lauren, but there are about a dozen and a half of those babies still on my counter and going out today.

And fuck you Ian for being a rude fucking prick.

first off...

i've apparently met katrina once..i'll be damned if i remember it. but i hear today she likes to talk all kindsa shit behind my back but yet not to my face. and laura helped, and laura is the one who brought me these cupcakes. im sure if it was up to katrina, i would have gotten squat, because she doesnt like me, and i dont even remember ever meeting her.

Well Ian, I don't know you, but Katrina's a nice person so if she talked shit about you, you probably deserved it. If you have a real problem with someone, you should take it up in person with them, or over PM, like an ADULT instead creating a thread under the guise of being nice just so that you can attack them.

And Katrina fuck anyone who's going to talk shit about you like this, they're not worthy of the cupcake yumminess. Instead, give all their cupcakes to me. :D

ian takes it as a personal offense when anyone doesn't talk to him every single time they see him.

he talks shit on others freely, but gets really really hurt and offended when someone talks shit on him in return.

instead of settling shit privately, he makes a huge stinking deal out of it so that all know that this person offended him in some way

Ian is the most drama filled boy ever.
this is the way of the Ian.

I have never talked shit about Ian. I have better people to talk shit about. The only thing I have ever said about Ian is "I don't appreciate how he acts like he's better than women." My friends know I don't take shit like this from any man. I have no idea what his beef with me is. Apparantly saying you don't like the way someone acts toward women is now gossip mongering? I'm sorry if you can't handle that I'm a strong woman who won't put up with bullshit.

And I spent 3 hours of my own time and spent my money working with Laura to make cupcakes that will make people have a nice Valentine's Day. I had plenty of other things to do yesterday that I put off to make my friends happy and I ended up being late for plans later than night because it took longer to make special cupcakes than just making ones out of the box with box frosting. I don't want to be called a bitch on a day I wanted to make other people happy :(

I'd love to know why Ian has a problem with me.

b.) 95% of the bullshit that comes out of ian's mouth is just that, bullshit. he loves to talk it. he does this to get attention, just as some girls may bake cupcakes/cookies to get attention. you make friends through baked goods, ian makes friends by talking bullshit.

b) i have no problems with her not liking me. my only problem was that she cant tell me to my face.

c) you are right. i probably did handle it the wrong way.

whining on the internet makes me feel more like a natural woman.

The only thing I have left to say about this is that:

I'm not picking on you but do you really expect people who don't like you to come up to your face and tell you that? That's not reality, it's *never* going to happen. And why would you want them to? So that you can tell them you hate them too? What would be the point of all that?

Second of all, I love Katrina, but you probably could care less about her so why are you letting somebody's opinion of you (that you don't care about anyway) bother you?

Usually a person objectifies something so that (in their minds) they can put themselves on a higher pedestal. If you have to do that, it's normally because you don't feel very good about yourself and this is the only way to elevate yourself. But people who do that come across opposite of the way they want to and instead come across as insecure and don't do themselves any favors for acting/talking like that. Mary was right when she said that the only girls who find that appealing are girls who suffer from low-self esteem, and we all know that people like that aren't good relationship material.

Also, on a personal level, you offend me with your constant woman bashing, even if to you it's only a joke. You don't like people talking shit about you so you can understand how people might not like being degraded because of their gender. You say it's a joke, but if it's hurtful to people why keep doing it? And Ian, you do overdo it just a tad. If you do it enough people are going to think you really feel that way and if you don't really feel that way WHY purposefully give people the wrong impression of you? It just causes you problems.

I'm *just* as offended when girls call other girls bitches. Personally, I think all derogatory terms should be taken out of our diction. But that's not reality.

Lol, obviously you don't know the cupcake givers very well. They are teh hotness and don't need to do ANYTHING to get attention as they already get lots and lots of it.

just two or three days ago someone (could've been beth maybe?) said that paris hilton made "bitch" a term of endearment. i don't care, personally. .

i don't think that the term bitch is necessarily derogatory. mostly it depends on who's saying it and why, and whether or not the person on the receiving end considers it to problematic. for example, you could say "that's one fine bitch", or "i'm going to bitch her/him out", and that isn't mean. and hell, you can call a girl a bitch and if she doesn't think it's a bad word then the only person talking to the air is the one who substitutes bitch in place of anything meaningful. kind of like using the word fuck as a filler. but then, i'm someone who doesn't consider c*nt to be a bad word, but most women haven't reclaimed it. such is life.

Lol, obviously you don't know the cupcake givers very well.

I don't think hiding something is always a bad thing if that person is not in their life much anymore and it's being done to spare the other person's feelings.

It is when they could care less, and hiding it only makes it worse.

Golly - you know I consider you a friend, you know I am VERY appreciative of the things you've done for me, and this isn't directed at you as much as the other two.

Katrina - well you know what I think about you.

That being said, the 3 of you try way way WAY too hard to be liked by everyone. This is the result. If you would stop doing obviously fake things (such as making cupcakes for people you don't even know, or worse making a cupcake for someone you later called a pig) and just -be yourselves- drama wouldn't follow you. No one is fooled by valentine's that don't even have people's names on them, we're all adults here. No one is going to pander to your desire for popularity.

Everyone wants to be liked by people, but most of us are adult enough to accept that some people simply won't like us or "worse" won't notice us, and most of us are adult enough to want to be liked or disliked due to our own merit or fault, and not on fake niceties.

People are getting their panties in a bunch over something stupid. We're not bribing anyone, we made cupcakes for our friends. We've already bribed these people plenty of times.

I didn't make a cupcake for Ian. Laura and I made cupcakes. Ian called me a bitch for helping make cupcakes. I asked him to not call me a bitch. This *nice* V-day surprise turned into a hatefest. Dramamongering, much?

mary, then you can start part 2.

phill, i see what you're saying as a global statement, but when it comes down to it, you're ignorant as to my reasoning for doing anything. see, i like seeing people smiling and having a good time, and i want to show a general appreciation for the people i've met down here (specifically alias peeps) because they're one of the things that's made me happy socially about the choice. wherever i've lived, i've had a lot of friends, so it was really scary moving somewhere where i knew no one. now, i'm sorry that i can't sit each person down and hand them a personalized valentine with a baked good attached to it, or go into a ramble about the happiness i feel about one thing or another. and i'm sorry to see how many people have gotten to a point in their life of being so jaded that they fail to grasp that some people can and choose to be happy, despite going through experiences just as difficult as the jaded people. i like to have fun and i like seeing others having fun, too bad if that seems like a popularity issue...it's also known as being spirited.

For one, I appreiciate you taking the time to write a long response and not just get mad or fly off the handle. This is why we are friends.

And you're right, ultimately I don't know for certain what your motivations are. I can only speak to what they appear to be, and given that my AIM has been blowing up and my rep jumped over 100 points for that post, I think I'm dead on about what the perception is.

BECAUSE I seem to be on about the perception and BECAUSE I consider you and Golly friends, I made that post. I personally percieve other things you have done for me, such as being there when I needed to talk to, as a lot more meaningful and worthy of a smile than the things I referenced when I posted. If that's me being jaded, so be it, but I see sincerity in some actions and not in others. Apparently I'm not the only one.
