I'm just getting around to posting a review of MassTransit5.

I stopped by Bridges a handful of times about 5 years ago and the place was simply riddled with Fairfax a-holes. Drinks were overpriced, pool isn't my thing and there was nothing to draw me back. The location and bar itself were cool, less a tiny bathroom.

GIVE has broken the mold in my eyes. They have helped transform an average neighborhood poolhall into an intimate EDM alternative to DC. Wednesdays promote our local scene without fail. On any given week, you can find the best of our local established talent, as well as those newbies taking advantage of their first opportunity to play out. Saturdays/MassTransits are a testiment to this crew's commitment to the local scene. The talent on the MassTransit bills is becoming mindblowing. Some of us could have expected this given the success of the Studio parties in Fairfax, but I don't think to this level. And can you imagine if jOOf starts paying compliments and recommending the party to his peers??? Buckle up and hold on, this place could become a traffic jam of mass talent! The environment is chill and the decor and lighting get better with every show!

The whole GIVE crew is welcoming and friendly, and you'll find the majority of them out for EVERY event. Andrew, LXG and Ramiro are friendly and social. You can tell they enjoy the work and its all about giving them the nod at the end of the evening. When these messageboards are constantly bombarded with negative reports from the DC nigthlife, I can't say enough how much we need to support parties and crews like this. This is the intimate location and party people have been screaming for lately, but without us patrons, it will go under like all those before it. And for all those dj's looking to make contacts, these parties are where you need to be. There are resident dj's from other parties at GIVE events all the time, TAKE ADVANTAGE!

All in all, I just wanted to say THANK YOU!

Hope everyone is having a good'ay, and if u'r not, there's always tomorrow!

Take care of each other always...BairE out!

THANK YOU!!

guess all i can say is that .. we try!

It's a hard road.. has many speed bumps.. but I think you hit it directly on the nose with "You can tell they enjoy the work and its all about giving them the nod at the end of the evening".. I think I can speak for the whole Crew.. Andrew, Alex, Brian, John, and myself when i say we DO have fun.. each and every party/event we do! When people come up to me and tell me "HEY, I'VE HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE" or " Dude... kick ass party!" yes.. it puts a big smile on my face

yea.. there are some down times.. but ya have to pick your self back up and keep going. :D

Don't forget though we do it for YOU.. with out YOU, we have no party.. just people in a booth spinning records!

:woot:

id like to add though.. there are plenty of other crews out there with the same vision..
dont forget to show everyone love by attending a wide variety of parties.. not just ours.. or just your friends parties.. SPRED THE LOVE!

Haven't been out to Transit in a minute. Not by choice though. Damn work.
But yes GIVE productions and everyone involved throws a sick party.
For me go out on a weekday like wensdays takes alot.
I must say I was apprehensive when I first went.
But you guys made me keep coming back for more.
One of my favorite nights was the Charles Feelgood party.
Amazing vibe, great music and friends, can't ask for much more than that.
Big props go out to Rami and everyone else!

Definately likeminded; I've always had a great time when I go out to transit; and despite the fact I've only been to 2 MTs (feelgood and J'00'f) you guy bring the decor; sound; talent; music; and best of all the VIBE stronger than alot of the bigger parties in the city. You guys keep on doing whatchyer doing; you got nothin but :respekt: from me.
