Genki (Ravers Only/Enigma/Neon Wave UK/MainFrame) TranceCore/Freeform
VA Beach VA

Through seamless and harmonized mixes, and through the uplifting and trance-inspired hardcore he plays, Genki seems to have a style all his own. It's quite easy to tell when Genki hits the decks, the vibe almost instantly turning warm, as his personality immediatly radiates through his music.
Bouncy and highly energetic behind the decks, he seems to be in a world of his own, as he fuels the crowd with his energy. Taking listeners on a journey with his music, his mixes seem like story books, making a progressing transistion from beginning to end. Having grown up on ambient music, and then later falling in love with the melodic sounds of epic trance, Genki has tied this in with his even greater love for hardcore music, as it is heard easily in his sets.

Genki's first residency was at Virginia's largest nightclub "The Abyss" where he started out as a lighting technician/operator for the clubs lightshow. He was allowed to fill in for a dj when they had called out sick for the night, and the rest they say, is history. He started to get more and more spots as a dj on other nights there, and soon became the resident EDM dj. He was there for 4 years as resident until the club was shut down by the city, and another club in Virginia called "The Ambush" decided to pick him up. He has been with the Ambush for almost 2 years now consistantly, and still plays every Thrusday and Saturday there to this day.

New projects are in the works for the trancecore dj, including his branch off into the world of production, where he's working on a few tracks for possible release in the near future. He hopes to spread his love for the music that changed his life, and give something back to the EDM community.

Genki has played in many east coast and west coast events, including events in Atlanta, Philli, San Jose, Queens, and Charlotte (NC), and hopes to continue to play many more in the near future, hoping to spread the great joy that hardcore music has brought him.
