That's right, kiddies, it's my first solo gig in DC, and I'm determined to bring a cubic butt-ton of energy to the tables in this premier venue in NW. This party is 21+ only and those interested are welcome to email/PM me to get on the exclusive guest list that guarantees admission to the upper floor of the venue prior to 11PM. Don't forget to dress "fashionably" and leave your shorts, sportswear and sneakers at home (sorry, I hate dresscodes as much as you do, but apparently "grown-up" clubs can't get enough of em...). With involvement spanning two decades, ramz is certainly no stranger to the dance music scene. Starting back in the days when the only way you could experience electronic music was to wait at the local top 40 club until the "late" DJ came on, ramz first experienced "the scene" as a victim of the high energy heavy bass beat on the dance floor opposite some of the godfathers--and biggest modern icons--of the electronic dance movement and was hooked for life. There were a handful of goups that started in the 80's, thus making them "80's bands" but they really took off and weren't appreicated until well into the 90's...the cure, depech, new order, information society, yaz, you know...the good ones. BUT

After a fairly long and drawn out story, I didn't end up going anywhere at all last night. I hope everything went well.
you're probably sick of seeing this thread, but I'm afraid I have to whore just one more time. I want to thank everyone who made it out last night and making my first solo gig in DC such a good time. Thanks to Panorama, AJ, Josy & Promisive Styl, and the "Last Minute Solid Gold Dancers" who were nice enough to show yuppies in Armani how to dance to quality EDM...well, at least I think it's quality, but why quibble over details? :wink: I saw a bunch of friendly faces in the crowd last night (Jenn, Becca, Cutter, Mario, LXG, hell, even my boss from my "real job" came with a bunch of friends, Jose, Joy, Susan, and a few others I'm certain I missed...THANKS!), and I can't thank you guys enough for coming out and supporting me; you're the ones that make it worth doing this whole silly DJ thing... You guys rock!

Mmmmmkay....and Ronda was in rare form...snockered as hell...fell down --heh, but I DID get back up, with a little help from my friends...wow. :P I did find that me + drinking heavily + high heels + dancing is not a good idea!! (took me 35 years to learn that? Some of us just aren't as quick as others.
So...yeah, actually Jason played the toto song. I was going to leave, but his boss was there and I was in the middle of conversation with them --I took one for the team. Blaaaaa...
Jason did a great job, the dancers were really sweet and the promoters pulled it all together in the end. :) Thank you all for coming out, putting up with my drunk azz and the hamburgers. XXOO
