I can't name to much techno from the early 90's, I don't know to many of the tracks. Unless acid house count's! In that case count traxx as a definate plus. They recently rereleased a lot of there older tunes. Including phuture! and houznation.

i really love the old futuristic techno, the throbbing beats are just to much to handle... i <3 oldschool techno. i also like crazy techno with sirens and warbling and stuff, but i don't even know ANY songs like that... if any of you could help me find this stuff i'd be happy.
i try to dj as much oldschool dark evil sounding techno as possible, but i can't find a ton... if anyone knows some anthems of the darker side of techno, tell me!

i miss old techno.... that was back before people knew any better than to segregate trillions of genres.
i'd have to say energy flash will remain a hit on everyone's lists...

I love oldskool uk breaks more than oldskool techno, but a lot of it can be mixed together. I have a fairly good collection of oldskool uk breaks. Come out to Buzz on April 8th and hear me spin some of that and classic house in the Rubik Room.
i noticed a lot of people seem to dig the uk breaks more than the techno but we gotta be honest here... there's some SLAMMIN' old techno jams.

When i first got into "techno", the very first cds i owned were, Lords of Acid, My life with the thrill kill kult, 808 state, front 242, goldie, and a few more that i cant dig out of my memory. The first club experience was in Tampa Fl, at a club called 911. It blew my mind.

oh gosh first time techno party...
my first experience was really wonderful. i was 14, just some insecure kid who hated everything about himself, like how he dressed and how his face had ACNE. then a really nice girl who i liked a lot did a small rave of about 50 in her basement and invited me cause she knew i was probably the only kid in school that liked techno, cept for her. it was so wonderful, it was pure magic. the kids didn't even notice how i looked, they even smiled at me... it was amaaing, i felt so loved. the music was the best evuuur... i don't even want to tell you the genres the dj guy played casue soem silly subgenre name doesn't do the music and its vibe justice. the parties continued for a while til we all went our seperate ways, but i still have memories... good ones.

the reason i got into djing is cause i realized all my party friends were goin to college when i was still young in high school and i knew that all over my city there HAD to be kids like me coming along. i spent all the money i had to get some turntables, and i already had a few lights that i used in the parties, and i spent the last of my money on records. that was the beginning of my quest to bring back that vibe...
