i switched over to soulseek, bc im almost never successful in dl'ing anything off winmx. I always get remotely queued:amanda: Minute i got soulseek, i was able to dl Marky versus Craze's set, the Grooverider @ world dance 7/20/02 set, etc.

XM Satellite Radio - channel 80, the MOVE - Every Friday night they broadcast a clean, digitally mastered set from Buzz the week before. It sounds clean and you can record it onto a DAT or stand alone CD Burner.
Not only that, but you get all new tunes on channels 80, 81 and 82. 3 stations, commercial free, digital dance music 24/7.
I no longer listen to the regular radio anymore - I'm too spoiled! XM Radio is worth the investment especially if you're like me and can't listen to any other kind of music anymore!!!

I also have XM Radio and I concur, it's the greatest.
Buzzlife sets Friday night are the best. Tonight it's Feelgood and Rennie Pilgrem.
Unable to get to Buzz as much as I'd like, this is a great way to hear the main DJ of the night's set. My wife and I celebrated our anniversay dancing to DJ Dan and Scott Henry's "Old School Night" set. 2 weeks ago I recorded the same set. That was very, very, cool. Ahhh, memories.
I've recorded most of the sets since the beginning of the summer. Crystal Method's set, Scott Henry's 4th of July set, and Feelgood's set with "Mr. Postman" are my personal fav's so far.
There's also some great stuff on the other channels. A Tiesto mix live from the Area 2 DJ tent, and a one hour Paul Van Dyke set made just for XM's station 81. If you like other types of music, a Grateful Dead concert every Sunday morning and a full Phish concert every Friday night at 9pm. Today on "The Ryhme", for the anniversary of 2pac's death, they did somethin like 31 songs or 31 hours or somethin 31 since he'd be 31 right now. When the new Eminem album came out, one station played it straight for like 12 hours.
Anyway, that's my input or whatever. XM is great. Buy it.

Man, just download kazaalite (no spyware/ popups like kazaa)... i've used WinMX, but its declined since the release of v3.0 (the network practically got devided in half= no one to download from). I've gotta say, Kazaa has the biggest network, and is absolutely butter for downloading dance music sets... the interface is pretty neat, too... just go here, then to downloads to download it. I have 17 gigs of live dj sets (from buzz sets, to essential mixes, to kiss fm breaks and drumandbass stuff, crazy underground 2step mixes, wmc mixes, bootlegs from some of the best parties i've ever been to, etc) from kazaa... man, peer to peer is the best thing since streaming audio, and kazaa lite has peer to peer filesharing on lock. Well, in my opinion, anyway...

soulseek is also pretty darn good
but people...remember to buy the actual album of artists instead of just burning them for free. we all listen to music that's on an indie label...so each time we don't buy the cd is VERY impacting to them.

whatever dude.
face the fact that the damn music industry is one primarily made up of small indie operations that are run out of either very small offices or just out of the artists house. major labels can absorb the cost of people downloading their artists albums simply because of their sheer size. they have thousands of artists and a few MEGA money makers that help the whole ship stay afloat.
but this is not the case AT ALL with smaller labels where the purchase to profit is much more direct. and smaller labels are folding left and right because people have begun to see music as something they simply have a right to appropriate without payment because they've downloaded the appropriate software.
i'm not saying that it's bullshit to download. i'm saying that it's bullshit to not support the artists you believe in. then later we're all going to wonder why there aren't as many labels out and why music in general is such crap. people gotta eat, bro.
if you were just kidding around...sorry :)

oh, so that is why when I tune in, it isn't who is spinning live? Damn, why can't they broadcast buzz, all night long on Channel 80? I would cream my pants, and get another reciver so I could tote buzz around all night with me when I am not there.....
