That would be freaking sweet. But let us not mix the acid tech with the trancey stuff. I will be bouncing off the walls one minute and then going to sleep the next.
I say DJ ESP come correct in the techno room since he is one of the few that hasnt sold his 303 on Ebay.
Big up to the roots.

I would definetly seperate the acid techno and the acidic trance.
Woody McBride would be goodtimes, haven't seen him in forever.
Maybe scare up Chris Liberator or Geezer for a Live PA. I wouldn't
be to opposed to finally seeing Paranoid Jack, fuke get Norman Cook
for a 303 soaked set.
There are actually a few local djs who bring it proper with the acid
sound too. : ) Maybe even scare up some of that scary acidic DnB
I hear from time to time. -&rew

alrighty, so we let ian handle the acid breaks. I could
probly make a few suggestions for acid house:
sucker djs, paranoid jack, or any of the few followers
of the tree-o-tree in the area.
Dunno that Kai Tracid is really the best example of
Acid trance, in fact psytrance has a heavier influence
from the acid sound we know and love. He has done a
few tracks with that kinda sound, but his name tends to
be misleading.
Maybe we could get Josh Wink to come around, that'd
be nice to hear his old thick n' chunky style on the nation
soundsystem. -&rew

NOOOOO Crystal Method!!! They've sucked it up every time they've come to Buzz, forget that shit. NO, bring is some Josh Wink and some of the original suggestions sound great. NO crystal method, sorry, I am a fan, but they suck live. The main room flops, and everybody leaves when they come on for their set, and them everybody comes back and the party resumes after they leave. No dance, no fun. Sorry, but that was the story the last two times they've come.
I want to hear some real 303 action.

Omar Santana has been doing hardcore for a long time now. I think his productions are hardcore, while he spins breaks.
An all acid party would kick total ass. You could even mix it up with oldschool acid and new acid.
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Josh Wink for this fantasy acid party. Aciiid.

look up the page at my post. yup, i'm all about some josh wink.
If I heard "higher state" on the big system, i'd be in heaven : ).
I haven't seen Josh Wink at nation on a lineup in awhile, but I
know he's been in the area, so he should be affordable. They
could probably get away with one heavy big DJ and locals to
round out the Acid department. Maybe get spacegirl, she's got
really nice and hard acid trance all wrapped up in a nice Live PA
package. anywho i ramble. -&rew

hey...did somebody say acid? Proper club music right there! If I were running cubik, I would regularly have this music as it is where it's at.
anyways...to book for this "acid night" (which should really be every night since that's how it should be done) I would have on the decks:
>Josh Wink >3hour set
>Paranoid Jack no doubt will open
>Frankie Bones>will close
>Big in Japan &
>Avatars of Dub>holding down the patio all night w/ Big in Japan at peak hour
Let's see that happen!

Somebody should book Josh Wink for a nice long set. He played in Baltimore regularely back in the earlier days. Everyone loved him. I'm sure his fee is higher now, but still, it could be done. I could listen to stuff like that all night.
For the acid lovers, you may want to get on this right here as well:

i'm looking at the flyer now -- from thursday, dec. 8, 1994 'acid fever' at paradox, baltimore.
'you know the sound - that squelchy, bubbly, squiggly, quirky noise that permeates so many classic dance tunes from the past decade right up through the present. that sound is the roland 303 drum machine. well, imagine a whole thursday night dedicated to the by-products of that little box, and you have acid fever II. (back by popular demand!) acid house acid trance acid breaks
line-up: 'back from his european tour, for this exclusive east coast appearance': richie hawtin + terry mullan, scott henry, fellgood, dj sun.
'free acid workshop!' 'just bring a blank tape with you to fever (we'll provid the 303's) to record a personalized acid track - your very own to keep - with help from experienced dj's'.
my personal opinion would be to book micro to play oldskool acid breaks.
