i'm constantly trying to support hard dance but the buzz crew only listens every now and then so everyone else needs to step up as well and show them that it's something that they should be bringing to the club atleast monthly.

I also think that we need more hard house (and hard trance) in Cubik. though I could survive without it if there's good drum'n'bass every time ... Actually I couldn't, we NEED HARD HOUSE :burnout:
Ah I miss Nation, too bad I won't be in DC for several months.

The rotation is what hard dance is right now in DC. I think a couple of years ago I may have had more bookings because people were into it. As of now I think house and DnB are DC's pic's at the moment. Of coarse DnB was really in demand back then as well, I just think that it will allways be that way here for it is almost like a unique flip 2 hip-hop. But damn I'll spin some Catch ya Breath to get people hype lol. I feel that to what Kristin was saying....Is really what I try to do. I also find that most parties around here are allways for house and similiar type sounds. But I will not say I dislike that, because house has and will allways be there. Even when I was attending my first parties back in the early 90's house was the shit. I love some good house but I would like to see more styles represented in the Nation's Capital. :werd: ^ :burnout:

The problem with hard house is that there aren't enough small events to get the exposure level up.... I know for a fact that there really isn't anything in the bmore area....

If anyone one wanted to get a Hard-Dance party together, I am game to help in anyway possible. I think House-Parties would be the best way to pick up sum momentum!!

Very True. Except the Anime Jams hehe. At least they still love some hard dance. I wouldn't mind spinning other genre's but damn I love HH and to drop dimes on another style is really not going to happen. I can't afford to do more than 1 at a time. Unless some1 wants to hear some older DnB or maybe a lil older trance. But I gotta stay true with HH seeing as that's my 1st real love lol. I still got love for many more genre's, I am just broke lmao. I think I'm gonna stay true to HH though but I know there isn't a high demand for it here. Damn I wish I was in England lol Them mofo's party hard. :bandito:

For the meantime, we gotta keep the Hardness going on in the underground.
At the previous hangar party in Essex, Flyin' Squirrels, we had several Hardcore DJ's, including Bezerker, i spun mostly Hard Trance... Hard House and Psytrance were also present.
At the next one, i'll be doing mostly Hard Trance again. I think we got some Hard House lined up too... everyone should come!! Check it out:

That would be nice, then we'd just need someone's house and have everyone get to know each other. That and for some reason all of the hard dance DJs seem to be broke or near broke, ain't that a bitch, which makes travelling difficult.

where are you at in Baltimore?
I have a lot of open time coming up after this weeks marathon that i've been training for. I'm going to be really focusing on spinning and getting a set of demos out, a site built, and maybe a radio show by the end of the year.

It was playing the nite I f*cked you in the pet cemetary.
Isn't that Mitch Hedberg?

i've got a 3br townhouse in laurel. i'd totally be up for having people come over to spin some weekend. just to get to know other people into spinning hard house/dance/trance whatever. while i'm not the greatest dj who ever lived, i've got a massive record collection (5000+ and growing!) and i love to hear new tracks and share music with people. i've only got a basic setup (2 1200s, mixer, monitors), but it should be more than adequate. if anyone would be interested, get in touch. i can't host a huge or incredibly noisy event, but something small (10 to 20 people) would be cool.
