My running group does this about once a year and it could be cool at cubik (I hate calling it that).

Every one comes in a white shirt (much like the white party) but they also bring pens/markers. And you graffiti each other during the course of the night writing messages and other things on shirts (of willing participants).

It can be sorta fun and it's a cool way to meet people based on what other people have written on the shirts.

*Isn't going to say what she would write on his shirt*

Also, instead of pens and markers you need to bring highlighters so the shirts glow under blacklights.

...which is probably the reason why they wouldn't let all those hi-lighters in.

It can be a nifty idea, when I was in college my house threw a graffiti party with pretty good success. I just think that's an idea better suited to a smaller party.

also, i doubt nation (despite the fact that its not the cleanest of places) is going to let a bunch of young people traipse around their club with pens and markers...the graf will make it on alot more than shirts.

Yeah...I thought about that. But hey...it's not like they can't make an exception once a year.

It's a possibility... except instead of allowing people to bring markers in, have a few artists set up with air brush stands in the hallway or something. I think it would be do-able, and pretty unique.

I say just give a select few markers and just let them have a field day. I would make it my mission life to give EVERYONE faux bicycle mustaches - all villian style and stuff.

You'd like to have a moustache? Something tells me you wouldn't be so attractive if you had facial hair...but I've been wrong before.

What are you talking about!? I would look TOTALLY hot with a marker-ed on mustache!

Sexist. You wouldn't hear her complaining if you had facial hair, but suddenly a girl wants to go fuzzy for a week and you're all up in arms.

He doesn't know what he's talking about, you'd look hot no matter what! In fact, I think you should marker on a goatee too. And then go around making out with guys and cutting up their lips/chins for once.

Errm, what kind of girls are you dating that could crush your head with their thighs? Maybe you should start dating girls smaller than you?

None of this, "Oh, I promise:cross:." stuff.

I really like the idea of having a graf crew set up on the stage and put stuff up throughout the night, possibly offer tips or lessons to people who are interested.

But honestly this is something so much better suited to a hip hop party, since it's part of that culture and not really part of the edm scene.

No I got the first post, but I'm saying since they likely won't let markers in (and with good reason, people would be tagging the bathroom stalls, walls, anything with a flat surface), then having a crew do a demo is a good alternative.

*edit*

idea! This would cost a little bit of money.. but maybe Buzz could provide those washable markers that will write on shirts but wash off other things.

Gotcha...good point. What about Dry-Erase markers? Doesn't that stuff come off most surfaces pretty easily. Have like 30 of these get handed out, but it should come off pretty well. Don't know. Just a thought.

LibertyinmyLife

Maybe they could tether the markers to the bar. Try to move too far with those babies and they snap right back into the bar.

This could also be turned into a fun MXC-type challenge: see who can get the marker farthest from the bar without being attacked by a large totem pole...or something.

It's something different though... personally, I don't go to hip hop parties because of the crowds they draw in, but I love hip hop. I'd pay $20 for an airbrushed Buzzlife/Cubik shirt, and I think it would be fucking awesome to have a crew work on a canvas-pieced wall or something of the likes on stage, and then sell the pieces when they're done with it.

I think that this is a very good idea.

I think you're just dying to be attacked by a large pole.
