And dont start naming headliners, that is not what I am looking for.

Agreed. Aurora II is a splendid idea. Plus, with it being a mere 6 days after Christmas, I'm sure people will be broke as shit and aren't looking to spend a whole lot of money (which would undoubtedly be the case if major headliners were booked) but still want to go out and have a good time for NYE.

for some reason i have "girls just wanna have fun" stuck in my head.

Hopefully this helps....

I come home in the morning light
My mother says when you gonna live your life right
Oh mother dear we're not the fortunate ones
And girls just want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun

The phone rings in the middle of the night
My father yells what you gonna do with your life
Oh daddy dear you know you're still number one
But girls they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have--

That's all they really want
Some fun
When the working day is done
Girls-- they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun

Some boys take a beautiful girl
And hide her away from the rest of the world
I want to be the one to walk in the sun
Oh girls they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have

That's all they really want
Some fun
When the working day is done
Girls--they want to have fun
Oh girls just want to have fun,
They want to have fun,
They want to have fun...

eh.... i don't think i would want to spend a new years eve at nation.... call me crazy but i'd actually like to enjoy my new years, bullshit free, and be able to get plastered. i think house parties are the best way to ring in the new year. a close circle of friends... watching the new years celebration in NYC, and being able to take your OWN pictures of the evening would definitely be more up my alley.

i do not encounter drama at nation. only fun times and happiness and friends.

i was sad last year when there was no cubik for funness.

By the time NYE comes around it's going to be very cold, and I'm going to be cranky because of that reason. I'm thinking an island theme, with palm trees, little umbrellas in the drinks, and beach balls.

ifunowhatimean
2004-09-25, 06:27 PM
I want to dance out on the deck no matter how cold it is on New Years. I say the island theme on the deck with the cover over it and those giant space heaters and actual DJs spinning outside on the lower level.

I won't be there so I don't really care persay. But if I were Buzz I would drop money from the rafters, give out champagne to 21 and over's. Setup lasers. And bring Deep Dish to spin... I know I kwow, no headliners, but Deep Dish is a good fit for a DC NYE party. Just a thought.

A Dream Come True. The decor could be clouds and stars and what not. Whats more magical then a dream come true? You could totally rock with sparkling cider so the people under 21 could enjoy too. People could do candy or the sparkling white, it could fit everyone's fancy.
