decor question

okay....

would you think you would have MORE fun at the rave and get more into things if an extra effort was put into decor?

for instance, people who first go to psy parties get blown away and really into it because the extra effort is put into the decor.

would you go out to a place more if there was pretty eye candy to look at? or do you just go out soley for the dj?

also, if you have any ideas of what kind of decor items/extras/costumes would be cool, feel free to list them here or email them to maryanarchy@yahoo.com

It depends on who's playing and such... with Infected, it added a whole lot to it. As long as the visuals fit the genre, it's cool. But if it's like rainbow colors everywhere with a jungle/dnb dj.. *shudder*

of course the "theme" of the decor would go with the dj.

tiesto would get the happy bubbles and unicorns prancing.

junglists would get more of the...stuff junglists like.

htat's pretty much the point of this thread. i wnat to see what people like an expect based on their favorite genre.

actualy, at a warehouse party i went to many moons ago, in the jungle area they had a rope hanging from the ceiling that i had much fun on

i think hanging vines would be a huge liability. drunken ravers = daring ravers.... daring ravers = broken limbs

I dunnu, D&B makes me think all post-apoc, like cinderblock and broken windows and looking like a nuke went off.

Jungle makes me think of the 'rave scene' in matrix, all tribal and cavey and underground.


And I like the fuzzy wall idea. Except for the fact that people would probably just hug the wall all night.

i think interesting decorations make a night at the club more interesting, and sometimes memorable. I certainly appreciated the look when infected mushroom came.

idk if i would go to place more if there was more eye candy. i suppose if i did like the decor of a club and all, it would make it seem like a more comfortable/ enjoyable place to be at, so I would be a little more likely to go prolly.
