back for the future.
why?
because IMO, dom is going REALLY half assed with his new tunes. the majority of his new LP is cookie cutter drum&bass, and for what i love about dom...too cheesy. there's some really dope cuts on the new LP, don't get me wrong...but take the original 'moulin rouge', 'soundwall' VIP, the 'imagination' VIP alone & stack em up against the new album. much deeper production on back for the future (IMO as said before).

Back for the Future- ALL THE WAY LIVE!
It is much better. The production on it is second to "Wormhole". But, SOUNDWALL is disgusting, Can't Punish Me, Killa Bullet, Archeon, Sandgun, Twisted City and MENACE (dom & roland remix).....Yo, those tunes alone were at the front of almost EVERYONES box when they came out. But, the new tunes just lack that punishing sound that wer are all used to from DOM. Maybe it's the rise of the machines and the fall of the intelligent when it comes to d&b.
Look at Ram artists, Ed Rush & Optical, Dom and Total science is starting to slip a little. COME ON GUYS, use your head like your used to! :respekt:

i just think for overall effect, this LP doesn't pack the punch that any of his last albums do. then again, you're talking to one of the most jaded dnb fans alive :P

The Keaml tune is pretty nasty. I mean, he's Kemal, you can't go wrong.
Look what he and Tech Itch did together....."The Calling" one of the illest tunes in a while. Played out though.
But you can expect nothing but nastiness from Kemal....thats why it is sick, same with "Paradrenasite (Hive Remix)" it is SICK SICK SICK SICK! IMO that is.

that bassline from the kemal track sounds like they locked george clinton, tool & and kraftwerk in a studio with a pound of grass and logic and they would not let them out til they came up with a dope line.
shit is hot.
i actually like the differences between chronology and back for the future. i like the contrasting sounds. chronology does not unleash the same level of wrath that back for the future delivered but it carries a certain sensibility without sacrificing dom's aggressive yet melodic sound all together.
based on his last set at buzz, you could tell he was moving ina somewhat different direction.
i can't believe i just used the word "sensibility" when referring to d&b. i should be drawn and quatered....

Maybe if this LP had the Reborn/Thunder(2minds 1 sound)rmx I would've picked it up. Back to the Future is better. I think Industry was the best LP he's ever made tho. Aight I'm out.
