Where are these so called breaks records? Everytime I go to Modern Music there is a rack with a total of 40-50 breaks records. So where are all the rest at? Including these new releases?
Are there other rooms other than the room with the listening decks? A back area perhaps.

There are always breaks records when I go down there. In the section labelled "Breaks".

Man, I have seen the section. It NEVER has more than 40-50 breaks records in it. How this possible, when they claim to get in 20-30 breaks weekly? Is there some special section that only friends of Chris can enter?

they probably get sold out before you buy them. not sure how many of each are ordered, but i haven't been satisfied with the %age of my orders that get filled.

i dont get to spend money on vinyl alot.

but when i do go in there are a decent amount of new records in when i go there each time.

i went through about 20 on sat and got 3.

so i dont know.

shop online if you want records all the time.

theres not really a big enough market here to be getting in huge amounts of breaks records.

well gentlemen, to answer some of your questions:

Records go very fast. That is all there is too it. If you don't buy on a regular basis, it is harder to satisfy you, but not impossible. As long as we know who you are, what you like and that you really plan to buy, we'll make sure more is available for you.

Also, it is suggested you stop in on days the records come in. I learned a long time ago, the best time to shop is while the order is in a process of being put on the shelf. Your going to get first dibs even over someone who would def buy it 5 hours later. I myself have had to wait cus some lucky guy was there at the right time!

Every single record that comes out goes through our hands. So if you know something is coming out, send us an email that you are interested and we'll order it for you. And if you simply want a certain record, send us an email and we'll order if for you. As long as it is still available, you'll get it.

On the subject of bootlegs, it is hard to predict whether it will be good or not. And because there are so many of them, it can be expensive to keep up with. In light of this, we don't always order as many copies of them as we would...say, the latest finger lickin due to the risk involved. But again, if you are doing your homework, and know you want it, let us know. we'll order an extra one for you. :-)

I hope i have been able to answer some of your questions. If you are not finding anything, it is usually because you are hitting us at the wrong time. If I post here a list of records, you better believe it will be picked through in a matter of hours.

And dont' be afraid to order on-line at www.modernmusic.us. We can ship them to you or hold them until you can make it in...as long as you provide a method of payment. The new stuff for the following week is usually listed at the week's end and then when it arrives, we real audio it.
