I was on some ...sounds.mp3.dance and i got these three cd sets:

Defected In The House - Dimitri From Paris (2CD)
Defected In The House - Jay-J & Miguel Migs (2cd)
Defected In The House - Junior Jack & Kid Creme (2cd)

Holy crap! These CD sets are the shit! I think true house heads would enjoy this. This is more of the dub/jazzy/disco influenced house of the early years. Good shyte! I highly recommend to anyone who is a true house head.

The sound is there, so far track #2 and #3 sound distorted as if recorded "too loud". I just FF'ed through the rest of the mix and a lot of it is the same way. :(

It could've been the encoding process. But then again, i'm looking at the winamp display w/ the EQ set to zero. I mean i can hear the distortion in some of the tracks. Some of the snares/claps even sound distored. :(

The upload wouldn't do that. :(

yea, last mix on that mix was basically to fill time when the host for the next show didnt show up, and i just kinda threw something on. bass speakers on the monitors were blown, which is why it slips a bit. glad you like the mix though... check your email ;-)

It was recorded in Soundforge and the cd burned in Roxio...I have the cd in my car and just checked it....it sounds ok....Breaksprincess listened on the way to work and she didnt mention anything weird...

I wonder why it sounds f'd up for you. Does it sound like its clipping crazy like or something? Crackling?

I just sent Kristen a bunch of cds I burned last night....she said

Weird, I noticed that while listening to my cd copy of FIF this morning.

When you get to track 5 and 6 on mine it doesnt play. I noticed that happened on Concept of Soul as well. I thought it might be scratched really bad, but I think it's the same prob if my brand new FIF is doing it too.

If both of Kristens copies are like that it could be from my cpu needing to be defragged as I just burned those for her last night

wouldnt explain the download trouble for liquidice tho

I re-downloaded- burned the mp3- and played it just now in my car at full volume- It sounds normal to me :sadblue:

It seems the recording was probably the issue. I wouldn't be able to tell until i ripped and analyzed the original cd. :(
