I saw Carter years ago and he was doing all kinds of manual effects with double records and he just blew me away.

but I have a hard time gettin into his groove 90% of the time nowadays

I tend to like the Farina a little bit better than the Derrick Carter CD

man! i would go to this (my 2 faves, of course) but a word on the street is miles maeda, pete moss and groovino are playing at five that night--which i WILL NOT miss!

i just heard this disc/s last night. i agree w/ matt. farina's i s the joint. carter's seems a bit lackluster paired with farina's mix. the mixing is shoddy at both at times, but who cares, they're done live and the programming is the shit.
i was so hyped to see so many of the new generation on there--lavish habits, olivier and ECB (!!!!!xoxox), hodges, thomas sahs, etc etc. farina is the best!

Well I finally got my hands on this yesterday. I must say its WICKED! The first CD, Mark's takes you on a wonderfully eclectic journey through House, dropping some older sounds mixed in with the new wave of House. It moves up and down teasing you just when you think it is going to takeoff and then finally does towards the end leaving you wanting MORE!

Then you get over to Derrick Carter's CD (my fav.) which just straight up bangs out some true floorbusting bombs.

This was such a worthy buy along with James Zabiela's ALiVE.
