I am absolutely loving the shuggie love release although I favor the clover mixes...this is a huge & essential house release for 2004!! Props to Subliminal for going back to the true funky house sound that made them famous...it seems like subliminal & morillo have been putting a lot of darker , electro & tribally house sounds in the past year (through subliminal & subusa)...but this release is a floor burner...

I am becoming a big Monkey Bars fan. For those of you who don't know their story / bio...do some research on them...very interesting duo with some serious musical talent.

i really love Monkey Bar's production, it's funky as hell, and sounds very crisp and tight.

I didn't buy Shuggie Love tho because it's vocal heavy and for the most part i totally shy away from vocals. (although recently i have dabbled slightly). but that's just me. it's definitely a quality track.

There is a dub of this on the clover mixes release mr cortex!! Very large bassline & tight, tribal drums with just a snippet of the vocal...you might dig...

Also, how can I get a copy of your mix? I hear it's got 22 tracks on one cd...wuz up Bad Boy??? Are you a beat matching monster now?

An ebayer decided to throw in a record on my recent purchase because they were so late shipping it:

Bob Marley - Sun is Shining 2004
http://www.dancerecords.com/makeram.php?id=27038&referrer=/search.php

Thoughts?

I think it is one of those records I can get away with if I drop the speed down... but then again, I'm not sure I like the Bob.

Heh... at least it was free... the guy was supposed to send me this case for carrying my needles around in as my foam-packed-gladware is a hair ghetto ;) He was supposed to send it the 13th of last month and I got on his case about it yesterday. :ANden:

Indeed it would... it would also be nice to start jammin the bigger clubs too! :koolaid:
Then again, I realize this is only my first year and a half of real DJing... so I guess patience and practice is a must
