DJs NEEDED:

UMBC will be hosting a monthly music event starting this fall, and we are currently looking for additional DJs to broaden the lineup.

Premium equipment at our disposal, including a foursome of techs hooked into the allmighty allen & heath xone mixer and pioneer cdjs. Great sound and a nice venue. if you're interested, drop me one: AIM (dread grey), E-Mail, or private message.

UMBC is south of Baltimore on I-95 (same exit for BWI, or one north of the turnoff for 895- however you want to look at it). Events will be held at the commons cabaret. It's two floors, has sound by JBL and intelligent lighting and effects. We have loads of toys available for DJs, and it's very very likely we'll have a liquor license.

These events won't start until fall semester, so there's no deadline yet... But we are selecting a short list of "residents"- each event will be 2 residents and 2 guests. Everything from Downtempo and Dub to Drum&Bass is wanted. Hope this clarifies some.

"Clever people, by using their mouths alone, are taking care of their reputations for a later date. But a real stalwart is a man who will go out secretly, saying nothing, and die. It is not necessary to achieve one's aim; one is a stalwart in being cut down. Such a person will most likely achieve his purpose.'' - Yamamoto Tsunetomo, retainer of Nabeshima Mitsushige of Saga Prefecture, Hagakure

no offense guys, but it seems a bit lazy to ask the promoter to contact you.

I appreciate all the response greatly- however if you want a surefire response in the shortest manner possible, send me a PM or AIM message, and it'd be greatly appreciated if you'd include the following:

1) a description of the type of music you spin
2) links to online mix, send a mix through AIM, link to an online broadcast, or a playlist and a CD through the mail
3) relevant experience is always nice, but not necessarily required. We'd like this to be a springboard for new talent.

due to the sheer number of responses (much greater in volume than I thought) on top of a hectic workload, that'd be the most efficient way to get a hold of me. I apologize for not being able to bring fourth all information possible- please understand I'm working through a bureaucracy, and the people with the university don't seem to understand this shit doesn't happen overnight and can't take turns on a dime.

I do appreciate all the response greatly though- I've been swimming in demos and lovin' it. Thanks to the response, there's no doubt in my mind, this fall will be bangin'.

rest assured I'm trying to get to each and every one of you in time, and patience with the system is always appreciated.
