Thanks. I know this and found one in the techno forum and in the dnb forum and some asking about soulseek in general. I am specifically looking for hardcore sets, which is why I asked in here .

i love soulseek. i think it has a better search than kazaa, and DLs much quicker than kazaa - at least on my computer.

I actually found Scott Henry's Fever volums on there. I already had them, but was surprised to see it.

German? :wtf:

are you sure you were downloading from the right place

there are two soulseek sites.....one (soulseek.com) which actually got taken over when the domain name ran up that now does some crappy sharing thing......

and then the actual site of the real soulseek which is slsknet.org . Go there to download soulseek.........and it will not be in german....looks like you probally went to the fake soulseek site.

the latest STABLE version that I'd recomend to anyone to use would be 1.54 test 1. It enables people who are on networks/routers/whatnot to set what port to listen on. Helps enable you to recive more download choices than with the latest "official" release that you'd get from the slsknet.org site which is 1.52.

you can get it HERE 1.54 test 1 (http://www.slsknet.org/slsk154test.exe)

i dont see what went wrong... i had no problem setting it up... if you've used WinMX or Kazaa before it shouldn't be too difficult to figure out.

I use Soulseek and DC++ mostly. Chat on soulseek too. I'd suggest using version 152 just because people using 154 have been know to lose their settings and userlists for no apparent reason. Just kinda disappears. The queue setup stinks on soulseek but other than that it's a sweet program. Much better than kazaa or winmx. DC++ used to be the best for finding rare stuff but since the essential sets hub went down... it's not nearly as good.

Feel free to hit me up on AIM or even on soulseek if anyone needs help with it or just wants to say hi... nickname is the same on soulseek... Sanctifyd

Soulseek is the shit... I randomly met some dude from the netherlands... I trade him fresh domestic house cuts for the harder stuff. Great way to get the newest shit, sometimes even before it's cut.

Also allows me to obtain imports that are otherwise ridiculously overpriced... I'm all about buying CDs and giving artists their due credit... but the money for imports isn't going in their pocket... It's going in the distributors' and importers'.

SHINE ON YOU CRAZY FILESHARING APPLICATION.
