:daking: Well...once again Dieselboy has amazed me with his skills, not only as a part time producer on the HUMAN imprint, not only as a dj, but as a HUMAN! The new Mix CD (due to drop on tuesday, but since I pre ordered, I GOT MINE YESTERDAY!) TEARS through 18 tracks of SUPERB Darkness that only dieselboy could bring to you.
The CD starts off with 2 ABSOLUTELY AMAZING tracks by Cartridge "End Of THe World" and BReak "Accelerate". *I NEED THESE TUNES!* He then racers through a BLINDING remix of Kaos Kalr k and Jae K's "Soul On Fire" by the men on the move Concord Dawn. Basic Op's, Tech Itch, and Raiden round out the BASS HEAVY begining tracks.....he then moves on to the Trance House and Techno remixes...which are REALLY good (to my surprise) but I would say that the tune that satnds out among them is Dj Tiesto's "Flight 643 (Paul B and Subwave remix)" & Dumonde "Human (Illskillz Remix)"......amazing synths and terrific POUNDIng drums resoante over a twisting bassline that RUMBLES out of the box and onto the floor! flip to the end of the disc if you want to hear BEAUTIFUL soundscapes and crate busting bass on the side of the Illskillz. They take that track and make it their own....DEFINATELY an OPENING tune...or an ending tune as Damian used it! Other noteable tunes on the album are the outsatnding remix of Concord Dawn's "Take Me Away" by the Illskillz boys, Teebee and Calyx's BOOMBING and Bass heavy "Follow the Leader" and the Tapped out Amazingly done remix of Decorum's "Contrax" by the guy I think should be at the head of the Us scene, Weapon. Evol Intent, Gridlock and Koas, Karl k and Deiselboy himself all make apearences on the remix tip...notable remix on this album is Gridlok & Echo's remix of the STORMER from 99' "Doorway" by The Usual Suspects. I personally think that the ORIGINAL is WAY better than this tech organic remix that they put together. I could have done a better job If i had the samples! DAMNIT, why ruin one of the BEST Suspects songs.....URGH!
I give this album a 4.8 out of 5 becuase of the AWFULL remix of Doorway! :poop: AHHH! But an album like this and of this quality has been a long time coming in the US scene. I am still waiting for Gridlok, UFO!, Basic Op's and Mathematics to drop albums respectively. This journey of sound brought to you by Damian Higgins aka Dieselboy, is one that should not be skipped by ANY D&B FAN...new or OLD! THats my 2 cents on the album......wait till you get yours and then tell me how you feel! PEACE! :owned:

I was going through the old threads and found this. The Dungeon Masters Guide is one of the better ones I've heard in a while.

Hell yeah.
I have Project Human and the Dungeon Masters Guide.
They are both superior journey's into chaos.

I used to listen to Project Human and play some PS2 Terminator game.
Blasting away robots and shit with advanced weapons in a wasteland while listening to some kick ass DnB.

I miss Nation, especially the front room when it comes to DnB.

I remember seeing Fabio there, 3/24/06, not too long ago and the floor was next to empty.

I don't know/remember what happened, so I don't know why there are two posts. :exbc:

I actually kinda liked System Upgrade a bit more than Dungeon Master's Guide, in a different way. I love them both, and I think that they are both impreesive mixes, I just like them in completely different ways. System Upgrade has the killers from a while back. Maybe it's just the fact that I remember almost all good times listening to that mix. 2000/2001 was a hell of a time period for me. Everything was really super awesome around that time. I'm rambling now.

I dunno.

Dungeon masters guide treads a bit too close to trance for me.

DMG is actually the first DnB/Jungle disc(s) I own. The mixing was excellent, however I would have liked to see more dynamic differences between tracks. I personally have enjoyed it when I have seen a DnB/Jungle dj go back and forth: 2-Step-influenced, to Ragga-influenced, to Dark-influenced, etc. I guess we all have our own tastes. I personally like varied sets and enjoy DnB/Jungle as a sort of dessert on a party!
