jimmy-x
2004-05-06, 02:36 AM
nice! you went because of a DJ? or for the party?

DeAtHmOnGeR bEaR
2004-05-06, 02:43 AM
I went for both.

I love hardcore, and it's not often that I find a good party around here.

jimmy-x
2004-05-06, 02:45 AM
what do you think makes a good hardcore dj? tracks he's picked or mixing style?

DeAtHmOnGeR bEaR
2004-05-06, 02:48 AM
Combination of both. The tracks he drops have got to flow, and good mixing totally helps with that

jimmy-x
2004-05-06, 02:50 AM
what style of hardcore do you like?

DeAtHmOnGeR bEaR
2004-05-06, 02:54 AM
Pains me to say it : Happy Hardcore, some gabber.... and whatsit called.. Terrorcore?

I'm not savvy on the musical genre distinctions.....

fraggle rock is a nickname of mine! do you think they have it on DVD. what kind of hardcore is that, the last 2 people on this board that said they spun hardcore lied about it being happy hardcore. (which isnt bad) i just hate it when "djs" lie about there music to get people to listen.

DeAtHmOnGeR bEaR
2004-05-06, 03:22 AM

If my car could make a 12-13 hour drive, I'd be all over things like that. As it is - I'm almost afraid to drive into MD at this point...

I've tried getting people around here interested in going to out of state parties with me, but no one is ever interested. Erik and I drove to durham last month to see Luna-C and not one person wanted to go with us. That wasn't even that far :P.

No one will have to drive too far to see The awesome Hardcore/Hardstyle talent we have coming for Legion of Dance II coming this summer, plus there is gonna be genres for everyone if you are a hardcore disliker, including some really off the hook hard dnb, jungle, trance, and house! Check out the massives out of state threads for the party lineup! its sick and its not expensive! Plus camping will be aloud, and vending will be on site! Free parking, beer, sick music and tents, what could be better???

road trips are fun. i went to atlanta for a party once.. it took 13 hours to get home. that was a long, long ride home.

Atlanta is definitely the farthest I've driven for hardcore... or actually for any reason. I went with Emily to see Scott Brown. Probably wasn't worth it... I was just tired the whole time.

Other than that, NH to see Luna-C, also with Emily. That was definitely worth it!

Now I'm old and tired and don't make many road trips anymore. Although I did just go to Detroit for Movement (didn't drive though). I would probably drive 6 hours to see Hellfish. Where did he play? I think I will probably make a few trips to Philly and NYC this summer, but that's not that far.

i would take great lengths to see and hear dj's other people think suck. i.e. anabolic frolic, dj venom

yes. venom spins happy hardcore and hardcore when he feels like it. i talked to him at a party about it. just listen to his latest release off columns of knowledge recs--floorbanger or whatever. it's hot and old skool

hit me up if you ever are heading out for some hardcore, uk hard house, hardstyle.

I've driven/ridden to Toronto a few times for parties. Not really a fan of Anabolic Frolic but he throws a great party. Check out some of te other Hullabaloo DJs[dMinus in particular].

There's also gonna be a big hardcore party in NYC within the month[I think it's this month, if not then the next] : RTC, Luna C,Delta 9[I think], Rob Gee[gag], Sunrize, AC Slater, Bexxie, etc.
