a lot of techno djs do 3 decks at once, because techno tracks are shorter, can be layered (and still sound good). it's a practical thing with techno, not a "ooh look at me mixing with 3 tables" sort of thing. a 4th deck for acapellas? :shrug:

And Carl Cox does not regularly use 4 decks. People say Carl Cox rocks like no other, but they don't listen to other techno DJs so how would they know whether anyone else rocks like Carl Cox? I'm sure if you asked Carl Cox he'd reccomend that you listen to a lot of the same people the techno heads around here keep talking about. Not that I'm saying Buzzlife shouldn't bring him, I'm just saying it's silly to want to hear Carl Cox but not want to hear anyone else who plays the same type of music.

I personally admit that I don't know a lot from/about techno DJs, and I would love more exposure to them. It'd be dope if Buzz could bring some techno to kids that haven't had much experience with this genre of EDM.

I know he doesn't regularly use 4 decks, but when he does it's pretty sweet to see. Anyways, it's a moot point because I love me some techno and I wish more of it would be booked... the only way to get the Techno DJs in here is to show that there is enough support... so everyone come out for Hawtin & Magda and maybe we'll get more techno in the future.
