I love happy hardcore, but I'm also a big freak for anything with the quick, hard beats!

Philly sometimes has some hardcore, and I know of a couple of kids who are putting together a hardcore party out in MD... but that's about all I'm aware of in this area.

Its pretty big on the West Coast...mainly b/c their massives are HUGE and consist of everything from hip hop to happy hardcore. Newbies tend to latch on to HH real quick.

I actually hated HHC when I first joined the scene, I was all about the dnb

But my tastes have broadened, and I'm a firm lover of breaks and all types of hardcore now

Well, I been in the Rave scene fro about 4 years...3 of which have been djing Hardcore...I only ask becuase Hardcore it Huge over in the UK now. People are eating it up. Hardcore really isn't Happy Hardcore anymore. Its alot more trancier than it used to be. The hardcore Scene As changed quite abit...

I posted this mostly to see if people had noticed a change or paid any attention to it at all. I know the Eastcoast/Virginia is primarily house, breaks, and Jungle/Drum and Bass, and used to be very anti-hardcore. I'm also wondering if there was still animosity toward Hardcore.

I Love Hardcore! I Would love to see Some well know Hardcore DJs perform at buzz. I was also wondering if some people feel the same way...and if Scott brown, Brisk, CLSM, Breeze and Styles, Hixxy, Sharkey, Kevin Energy or any of those guys were booked to play buzz would you go??

Good Artist with Good Sites:
Scott Brown = UK Hardcore, Gabber http://www.evolutionrecords.net/
Brisk = UK Hardcore, Hard House http://www.nextgenerationrecords.co.uk/
Sy and Unknown = UK Hardcore, Ol Skool http://www.quoshrecords.com/
CLSM = UK Hardcore (an odd, but amazing bunch) http://www.theclsm.co.uk/

And of course...Frolic and Silver1 = http://www.happyhourradio.com/

I still love happy hardcore, especially because they spin in so many of the old 80's tunes for the remixes. It's fast but it's definitely a great workout to dance to (or at least try to dance to).

Unfortunately, there is still a lot of animosity towards hardcore around here. People like it when it's played here, but really won't support it at all. That's too bad.

Everyone should check out some of the stateside hardcore djs as well. A couple good sites are http://www.sonicfury.net and http://www.pitchedup.net.

*ahem* I actually find your comment to be quite ignorant. Anyone who knows me will attest to the fact that every time I go to a hardcore party, I'm usually totally sober.

Hardcore is a pathetic excuse for a genre of music. It takes no talent and is poison to the good music listeners ears. Keep it far, far away. Horrible!
